Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

I use 30 and it is tricky, even for me with 10 years of commercial electrical experience. I heat the 30 with a lighter for about a minute beforehand, I pinch the two wires together with ~1/8" sticking out past my thumb and bend the tips straight out from one another, no slight bend but a full 90...

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

How about wrapping it around a piece of toothpick lifeguard style and laying it in the channel? I guess that kind of negates the purpose of leaving the wick out. What about a rolled up stick of SS mesh?

Before I decide on GG stealth..

Sanding the chrome plating off of the contact points, some of us have used electrolysis to knock it off. For some batteries to fit, a bit more material needs to be ground off the contacts for a bigger range of adjustment. Otherwise it will work out of the box with a voltage drop and only IMR...

Before I decide on GG stealth..

I don't have a GG but I do have the natural. It has it's drawbacks and requires some modification to reach it's potential. That said I like it for out and about - all day vaping because it was cheap and I don't care about the abuse it's getting, or if I lose it.

What makes a mod a "mechanical" mod?

I think another problem is the popularity of VV devices. Before they came around it was really cut and dry, what was mechanical and what was a battery mod. A VV device was just another type of nonmechanical battery mod. Now that so many have exploded onto the scene, and newcomers are instantly...

What makes a mod a "mechanical" mod?

This is exactly why people need to stop with the semantics and quit calling devices with wires and solder connections a mechanical. It used to be cut and dry, but these days people are obsessing over the differences and muddying the common definition. When a person goes to order a PV that says...

    Regulated Mod Vs Mechanical

I prefer mechs because I consider it a weakness to have technology in my mod. Anything I've ever bought or built with it is broken now. Today's tech is disposable and a mech will virtually last forever. If something breaks I can probably fix it myself without sending it away. Aesthetically, I...

What makes a mod a "mechanical" mod?

The difference between the wire and spring in this situation is how it handles amperage. Incorrect wire gauge for the amperage requirement of the circuit can cause the wire to overheat. Heat is wasted energy and possible device failure. The whole purpose of a mech is to handle high amperage and...

I should have gotten the silver ProVari...

Sucks you wasted money but it looks ten times better now. I learned my lesson with coated mods back when I got the black silver bullet.

Would you trust an e-cig made by a tobacco company?

I changed my mind. If they give me Marlboro bucks I'm all in for the inflatable boat. :thumb:

MAGIC RDA for only 10 Dollars !

LOL, not gonna happen, I'm a pv KLUTZ! I even dropped it on the beach and filled it with sand, rinsed it and kept on going. :) I still love it though, for it's size, light weight, and makes clouds. Farther spaced posts would be a good thing, and less base to leave more room in the cap, maybe a...

MAGIC RDA for only 10 Dollars !

Doesn't look like the ERA can hold much liquid. I wish the RDA was stainless, decided to upgrade to a DRA XL instead. The RDA vape is excellent but I'm sure it'll look like a lunar landscape after a few months if me dropping it. :)

What would you say your experience level is?

Able to vape with nothing but an old atomizer and some liquid on hand. Guess I'm at the MacGyver level.

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

I make my wick and coil almost the same way. Before you put your lock ring on, cut some strands off the longer wicks so only about 3 strands are left in the channels. That is the advice I followed when I was having flavor issues, I had too much wick stuffed in the channels. My liquid is 50/50...
