I see similar things- usually for a second or two a freshly charged battery will show 4.2 and then drop down to 4.0- remember, the provari puts a bit of load on the battery.......much more than your dmm will....
Mine came in earlier in the week but I didn't have time to get to them till today. Unfortunately it look like there's a limit of 25 downloads/day on filesanwhere and the instructions are locked for download. Anyone have a copy they can post somewhere?
EDIT: Got it- thanks paul
I haven't plotted it and don't have the equipment to do so properly- I think you'd need to use something like a CBA III and program it for random 10-15 second clips and long (1-5 min random) off cycles to get a real picture. I can't bring myself to spending $300 and the time it would take to...
In Theory... the pila has a few safety features and does a better job with the top off voltage than the trustfire TR-001 that came with your provari. I have both- IF you don't have a backup charger, the pila is a good choice- you should use the pila as your main charger and keep the TR-001 as a...
Gold.
Nah- get the standard media blasted/satin finish stainless for your first one- it's a bit better to hold as the chrome finish can be slippery at times. Plus it doesn't show finger prints. Get a shiny one for a back up or when you want to accesroize.
IMR for your safety and even voltage till it drops off, 2600 for run time and maintains flat voltage till it drops off better than 2900, 2900 for run time- 2600 and 2900 sport built in short protection which can kick in (if the cirucit is working) to protect the spring in your phidias if the...
Actually, I've been testing against the Pila charger and fwiw, most of the time they ususally come off the charger between 4.17 and 4.18V (rarely it goes to 4.19) - Similar tests with the IMRs were giving me consistently between 4.20V. and 4.21V Not to worry, it's acutally better for your...
Good Stuff!!! I'm not MIA but bussy these days..... Great review!
there's more- in parallel all kinds of things happen - good and bad- to avoid the bad, always use two cells of the same type/brand/label age- best bet is to buy them new, use them in pairs and in parallel-charge them in pairs...
Just an update- I ended up going to 1500 grade sand paper- I would guess you could probably go as low as 400 or 600.... I glued a small piece on the end of a pencil eraser to get into the spring indent.... and also sanded both ends of the spring- then cleaned it all out with a paper towel wet...
Possible Solution for low battery indicator going on early-
Hey folks-
As some others have, I ran into this problem with the new batteries over the past week- the performance was gradually degrading and my indicator was going on between 3.7 and 3.8V. I contacted ProVape and they suggested...
.... the imr is 18490.... Do yourself a favor- put it on a shelf till you have something it fits into properly- like the Box Kronos you'll be getting in a month or so...
Mike-I go away for a few days and you get yourself into all kinds of trouble ;-)
I don't think it's a good idea to use magnets.
First to answer your question, flat tops/Large Button tops don't work because the PCB has a slot in its edge where the cathode (+ side) of the battery fits in- the...
I've been using both the TR-001 that originally came with the ProVari kit and the Pila charger- yes the TR-001 is tight but it does fit- be careful when you insert it.
Interesting - They are saying best of both worlds with that PSS chemistry. Looks promising, but not sure I'd want to be the first ginnea pig on it. Would love to see some test data....
