    If the battery is only heating up when you use the dropped carto, it sounds like there may be a short in that carto. Switch it out and see if it improves. If it doesn't, get yourself a new battery.

    My sweet spot depends on the flavor I'm vaping. For my homemade menthol tobacco I like 6v. For Boba's Bounty I take it down to 5.5v. For my homemade fruity flavors I like 4.5v. And for my homemade dessert flavors I use my 3.7v eGo with a 1.7 ohm carto.
