    When we lived in Ocala, the 1st spring/summer was horrible with fleas. Vet visits and the bug guy monthly, until we cleared all the old leaves and 7 dusted the yard. After that we maintained it. It seemed like if it was a really rainy season, we would have a out break.

    I had a crate for Sparky but we didn’t have to use it until he was an adult and having health problems. This is all new to me. I hope everyone stays warm and dry today, and for the folks living in FL, oh how I miss living there!

    @Bea-FL we always did Sparky’s, vet always charged $10 for it. Called the vet this morning to ask how much was the visit going to run me and the lady was real nice and broke the price down for me, estimate of $100 with $4 going to needle disposal. When did vets start charging for needle...

    It’s been over a yr since we lost Sparky and so begins the new adventure! Thanks for all the helpful tips! I was going to use a old towel in the crate until she is potty trained. I used to use the Kong stuff toy with Sparky, he loved pumpkin!

    Hubby and son aren’t fond of it, but they also haven’t thrown a name into the mix. I like it. She has worms so hopefully I can get that taken care of Friday with the vet visit.

    Thanks everyone! Lola did well last night, even went to the puppy pad to do her business. Still working on feeding, she’s a hungry little thing. Ordering a crate in a few min, so we will see how that goes.

    I couldn’t help it! Hubby said no when we saw it, but after 3 hrs of hanging out and holding her he changed his mind.:)
