FT Stingray X vs GS PAPS clones

If you would consider focalecig instead of fasttech (not sure if they ship to where you are but worth looking at) you should look at the SXK Stingray X. Very good quality, only slightly more expensive than the FT stingray x. Regarded as one of the best Stingray X clones out there, and one of...

    Vaping upgrade?

The KBox has wattage "settings" in steps, so it is more limited compared to other 40w devices out there that can be adjusted in 1 watt increments. The iStick 50 watt is the current favorite in that range, and would be a good choice. You can find them between $45 and $55 dollars usually. Built...

Best way to test flavors with a MVP

I'll second the bridgeless atomizer recommendation. Before I moved to rebuilding RDA's, those little bridgeless 510's were perfect for taste testing. Read up on them a little, and maybe search youtube for how to use one to see them in action. They aren't as good as rebuilding, but they are...

Ready for the next step: Recommendations please

Hey Putty! While I would normally recommend an iStick 30 watt, I see you don't like box mods. I do however think you should search them on google or youtube - they are very small, not much bigger than a Bic lighter, and have a very nice shape in hand. Not boxy at all. They are the current...

Flat top battery Vs. What ever other kind their is?

Another vote for flat top Samsung 25r's, excellent legit batteries. Flat Top vs Button Top batteries - Flat tops are more compatible with the current generation of mods. Some older products and specialized products require button tops, but that will almost always be specifically pointed out in...

So far how much +/- did you spent on vaping?

If I hadn't blown $200 on the green smoke cigalike in my first week after quitting smoking, I'd be in the positive now, but I'm still closing that gap. I don't fault the cigalike - it got me off of cigarettes. But if I'd known there were so much better things at so much better prices... :)

    Vape Wild. Yay or Nay?

Got my recent order. Sample of Circus Bear in it. WOW. Yum. I'm going to have to make another order ASAP for a big bottle of this stuff. Perfect for my tastes!

How long do rebuildable subohm coils last?

It's fine to dry burn a coil, it won't damage your mod. Take the atomizer off of your mod after dry burning it, and then rinse it, and you won't risk damaging anything. When I'm feeling lazy I don't even bother rinsing at all, I just blow off any residue and rewick, heh. It is a common...

    Vapin' in NC, new here.

Yep, I've been doing some reading. I believe these are likely 20a continuous like other batteries that are more commonly used now. Probably safe to use :) Still, I suggest you grab some Samsung 25r 18650's. They are cheap and legit!

How long do rebuildable subohm coils last?

Also, NEVER do what he did with a mod that has electronics. He was using a mechanical mod, which will easily survive some water - anything with a little electronics in it on the other hand will not fare so well.

Generally speaking, Spinners and Egos aren't suitable for use with RDA's, but that doesn't mean you absolutely can't. The Spinner 2 is likely only able to handle coils above 1.5 ohm resistance and below 3.0 ohm resistance. With 24 gauge wire, on a 2mm diameter (screwdriver or drill bit or...

How long do rebuildable subohm coils last?

I'm aware of the current marketing, which is confusing new vapers. That's why I make sure to mention it. But I get why you bring it up :)

How long do rebuildable subohm coils last?

Yep, after you run water over it, wipe down what you can with a paper towel, blow really hard on it to get any excess off, and then if you are still worried you can let it air dry for a while. Also, just in case you watched Rip Trippers fire a coil while it's on a mod and then immediately run...

Yep, there's a ton to learn, and you'll get there, just keep at it. Get something to test your coils though, that is an absolute must have, check those ohms, check for shorts! Get some sleep first though. Building while tired isn't advisable until you have done it enough to go on "autopilot" :D

.3 is sub-ohm, but sub-ohm means anything below 1 ohm. So, .8, .7, .6, etc. Above .3 is safe with most of the currently popular batteries. .3 is where the batteries I mentioned will start to be over-taxed, so you should have more experience before going lower. You can handle coil building...

How long do rebuildable subohm coils last?

You will see a noticeable amount of gunk on the metal coil when it needs to be dry burned. When dry burning, ALWAYS remove the wicking material (cotton in this case) first, and then once you've dry burned the coil you will see most of the gunk go away. Some people like to rinse and dry the...

How long do rebuildable subohm coils last?

Hey Sassy :) First, there is no such thing as a subohm tank. That is a misnomer. There are only subohm coils. You can build above 1 ohm in any rebuildable and get good results. How long a coil will last depends on how well you maintain it, how hot you run it, what juice you use in it, how...

Not sure about the vamped batteries. Most here tend to stick with or suggest Samsung 25r's, Sony VTC4's, LG-HE2/LG-HE4 and EFEST. The 25r's are my favorite and perform very well. You need to keep an eye on the limitations of your batteries. Most of the ones I mentioned have around a 20...

Getting ready to order a new setup!

Sounds like nice gear, MBV has been around for a while and plenty of people like to shop there so you'll be fine on that front.
