    Help comparing different ecig units

Nautilus stock coils (BVC) vape well within the range of 7watts to 17watts. If your device can handle that range (up to 15w is enough usually) then a Nautilus is a fine choice. I've rarely ever needed to go above 13w with my Nautilus tanks, and have found that even with the most power-greedy...

Is the Kamry K100 Still a Good Mech Mod Choice?

I appreciate your situation :) If you are SURE that you want to get into mechanical mods, then there are some great rock-bottom places to start. But, unless you plan on using a Subtank or Atlantis or other sub-ohm device (which still benefit more from a high power regulated mod in comparison...

Is the Kamry K100 Still a Good Mech Mod Choice?

I believe the k100 is still a fine workhorse of a mod. The "full kit" is kind of useless though. The cartos that come with it aren't great, the batteries that come with it should be recycled and replaced with good IMR's from the usual suspects instead. It is certainly not worth $30, you would...

    My first mech what what?

Between the two of us we've tried basically ALL THE BATTERIES!

    My first mech what what?

As other options haven't been presented yet, I have a few other suggestions. SuperT has their Workhorse mod on deep discount for only $60. This is an Authentic and highly regarded for quality mechanical mod and mod manufacturer...

    My first mech what what?

The Infinite/SXK is (one of) the best, and the one that I chose. The Fasttech 1:1 clone is also highly regarded, and the Cigreen clone is well reviewed. Infinite is a distributor, SXK is the manufacturer. SXK label will generally cost less than the Infinite version by $5-$10. I bought SXK...

    My first mech what what?

I use EXCLUSIVELY flat top batteries with my Stingray X. I have used Efest, Keeppower, Sony and Samsung 25r's, all flat top, and had zero issues with my particular clone. Your results may vary. I would only suggest a button top battery if you plan to use it in hybrid mode with a shorter 510...

    My first mech what what?

I'll say (again?) that the Stingray X is an excellent performer and a really sharp looking mod. It covers all of the important bases: Both Hybrid adapter (advanced) AND a Top Cap (beginner) Magnetic switch (can be crunchy but, as was said before, add some lube and it's magical) and locking...

New to vaping and this forum.

Welcome! Now, just take a deep breath. It's going to be okay. It's going to be great, even! There are so many options that it will be a dizzying endeavor to try and understand them all, especially for a new vaper like yourself. Here are a few simple suggestions. To "step up" from your...

    Are Mechs Dead?

I'm a fan of .8 to 1 ohm range usually, and I tend to prefer single coils. Don't have to get fancy to get a great vape :D

    Are Mechs Dead?

Yep, 10A would be right at the edge of my comfort zone with .5ohms. Since the batteries in question are Samsung 25r's, it isn't an issue. It could become an issue using 18500 and 18350 batteries though, so it is still worth keeping in mind (I think the efest 18350's are 7amp continuous?)

You get what you pay for?

Price and taste have not worked in unison for me. I've tried 7 different "premium" juice lines and none of them were worth the extra 10$ a bottle. Now I avoid almost everything that has "premium" in the description because, for me, it's a load of garbage. I've had more success with cheap...

what method do you use for "Sampling"Juices?

A few drops on an RDA, as others have said. New flavors take over quickly. If you just can't (or don't want) to rebuild coils for an RDA for this purpose, there are the old school 510 bridgeless atomizers out there, usually about $5 each or less and you just use them and toss them and buy a...

    Are Mechs Dead?

That all seems correct to me, you've got it right. Switch out batteries as soon as you feel the vape drop off and you're golden. I usually switch batteries ~3.7v or 3.8v, as that's where my builds start to sag.

    Are Mechs Dead?

The Infinite/SXK clone of the Stingray X is magnificent both in looks and performance, but I'm biased and I'm always talking it up. IMO you wouldn't go wrong with one :) Still, literally dozens of other options! EDIT: Also, the Stingray X has plenty of venting and a locking ring, if that was...

    Are Mechs Dead?

Looks like Samsung 25r's, which are generally considered great batteries. Might struggle with very low builds though, as they have a little lower amp limit (think below .3, since most reports say 25r's have around 22 amp limit) There are so many great mechs, you may want to pick a few that you...

    Are Mechs Dead?

I actually appreciate all of these "mech vs. regulated" threads that keep popping up. They are all a very strong sign that mechs are in fact still quite viable and desirable to a portion of the vaping community. It's also good to see the consistent addition of "safety first" that accompanies...

First mech mod: nemesis clone or magneto authentic?

Yes, the Stingray X is purely a magnetic switch, not sure what you mean? Careful with ebay. A lot of times you get no customer support once you buy. Still, I buy plenty of stuff from ebay, just worth mentioning it's buyer beware. I like to find actual vendors for most purchases, for safety...

First mech mod: nemesis clone or magneto authentic?

Yeah I think the Subtank has a spring 510, which means it'll likely short if used on a hybrid. Proceed with caution! Paragon is nice, the copper version (carbon fiber) would probably hit great, and simple construction with just the 18650 tube.

Is it possible to stop buying new stuff?

For me, I've slowed my roll on purchases, but it'll never "stop". It isn't expensive to add a new piece here and there, especially compared to what my smoking budget once was (which is twice the budget I'm allowing myself for vape gear). Adding a $40-$60 device every couple of months, or a few...
