    iClear16's breaking

Are you certain these are genuine Innokin iClears, and... what juice are you using?

    Learning to Drip...

Vapor production comes from a combination of net coil surface area, wicking and juice type, air flow... and the wattage necessary to heat that net coil surface area. If you're lacking in any of those areas, you'll come up short. Just a few basic points, for your consideration... some IMO, some...

Wire Gauge for 0.5 ohms Coil

Assuming genuine Sandvik Kanthal A-1 wire from a known reliable source, like Temco for example... At 0.05Ω net resistance, for dual parallel coils - IMO - 28 and 27. 26 and thicker will run too cold, 29 and thinner too hot. Single coils at 0.5Ω - IMO - 24 and 23 gauge. How did I arrive at...

    confused

@tmcase narrowed it down to it's lowest form... need. The desired net resistance (calculated value for multiple coils in parallel builds), wire gauge and net coil surface area (high surface area goes hand in hand with resistance and gauge) will determine if having 150 watts available vs. 100...

    Newb Cloud Chaser

Funny... I'll have to try that one. :thumb:

Welcome to ECF, FedEx... If you plan on going below .25Ω... I hope you've bought a good quality, accurate ohm meter/build box. The next step might be developing some skills with a coil modeling calculator... like Steam Engine for example.

    iPV4 vs iPV3 Dimensions

Judging from the photo... I'd agree. Car tray slots always end up being a bit tighter than they appear.

    iPV4 vs iPV3 Dimensions

Rounded to the nearest full mm... the ipv4s depth is approx. 26mm... width is 70mm.

a little help with rebuilding RBA

"Clouds"... or rather vapor volume/density, is all about coil net surface area... power sufficient to heat that surface area to a minimum temperature, and an air flow capability that matches your draw potential. You're limited to 30 watts, and an internal resistance limiter. There's no getting...

Whats with the holier than thow elitist attitude around here?

    PVA Rebuilder's Toolkit

Looks like "crummy junk" to me. You can do a lot better for the money... or a bit more money.

    RDA Brown cotton?

No problem... cheers. Forgot to mention, if you're using Kanthal A1, the aluminum oxide layer is pretty tough, but it does wear out from multiple dry fires and brushings. When you see dark patches or "speckles" and/or redish brown rust after a dry fire and clean... it's done it's duty and...

    Learning to Drip...

No apology necessary, Jon. For plenty of folks, even basic reading can be hard, and articles with a technical bent - which is a good amount of my stuff - can be very intimidating. I hold no ill will for those that may learn better through example and doing... rather than acquiring a firm grasp...

Whats with the holier than thow elitist attitude around here?

Ha ha ha. Think there are elitists here, 6.5mm? There are forums that won't even let you join without a few thousand bucks worth of high end kit on your table. Money is a weak substitute for knowledge, common sense and integrity. But seriously... provide examples. It may be that you don't quite...

    RDA Brown cotton?

Dry firing is removing the wick, firing the mod until the coil starts to glow a bit - Don't hold the button down and just stare at the glowing coil! - after it cools, remove any ash residue with a tooth brush or other soft bristle brush... a soft brass bristle brush used sparingly is OK if it's...

What you want and need to know to be a professional in the vape biz can easily fill a book... I know, I've just about written one. Click on my sigline link below, and quite literally... read every article shown. If you have questions... and you will, PM me. Good luck becoming a...

    RDA Brown cotton?

Generally speaking, juices with colorants and sugars will "brown" a cotton wick due to the heat caramelizing and/or discoloring those additives. Nothing to really get too spun up about... at least until the coil(s) gunk up enough that it becomes time to dry burn, clean and rewick.

    Best high VG juice brands?

If you're on a budget... Mount Baker Vapor does a "max VG" (80% and up), that with the right flavors, is pretty good on cotton wick in RDAs at 0.3Ω ~ 0.6Ω net resistance.

    26g coil builds?

Unless you like extreme heat, or have a VW device where you can run less than the Ohm's law parity value of 59 watts... 26 gauge is too thin for the resistance. The heat flux for a 26 gauge dual parallel, 0.3Ω net resistance build at 59 watts is a hot 435 mW/mm². If all you have is 26 gauge...
