  1. State O' Flux

    steam engine question

Yep... 6 per coil, 12 total.
  2. State O' Flux

    steam engine question

For multi-strand users... if you have two (or more) wire strands per coil, even though they alone technically qualify as dual parallel coils, the program considers it a single coil... when you click the "round, twisted/parallel" option. It's not a dual parallel build. In this instance, you click...

    Vaping flavourless e-liquid

Same with me, Psofos. I frequently use straight, mildly sweet VG in my RDAs.

Hana Modz DNA30 with Atlantis 2?

"Clouds" is a subjective term... and not easy to apply a value to. Large vapor volume is the result of high net coil surface area/mass. To utilize that surface area, you must be able to heat it. With 30 watts, you have practical limits for heating that coil surface area to a adequate heat flux...

    RDA RDA SETUP

After you get familiar with the program (PM me if you don't understand something), you'll be able to independently (and together) adjust wire gauge, coil count in parallel, net resistance and wattage... to fine tune to your tastes, the various performance aspects of your builds. Cheers

    RDA RDA SETUP

You can build for "coil(s) net surface area" as your primary goal... which is how you obtain a good vapor volume, but at a modest "heat flux" (coil radiant heat) value. You'll end up with a higher "heat capacity" (time to temperature) value... but we're talking an extra second or so to reach...

    Nope.... yep.

Moo Juice tastes like steam iron ?

"Moo Juice" in the "max VG" blend is one of my few preferred MBV flavors... but it can be a bit picky. What atomizer, what build at what wattage? What PG/VG ratio?

    Atomizer short?

Which is the only straight-forward, "safe" measurement you can obtain. If you set the DMM to the Ohmmeter to test a battery, you'll pop the fuse. To test battery resistance with a DMM, there are a variety of safe methods.

USA ohm meter won't read rda?

Call USA... they're really good about customer service issues.
  11. State O' Flux

Built my first coil, ohm read was 1.8 but 2.3 once complete. Is that right?

Kanthal A-1, after it's fired a few times, will compress, causing the screws to loosen... and from there, they tend to back out a bit more. Go in and "re-snug" the screws, and the resistance should drop back down. The other issue can be a poor connection between atty and mod 510 positive pin...

    RDA Question about Vapor Production

Advance warning... I'm going to suggest a good bit of reading. If you're not a big reader... good luck with all that. First, have a look at some Ohm's law formulas... they are the unregulated (mech mod), basic amperage/wattage values derived from a known battery voltage and build net...

    Efest 18650 (purple) questions

They may indicate a 35 or 38 amp MCCD performance (which is actually more likely a reference to time/pulse discharge... a value more useful for mech mod users)... but in reality they have a 30 amp MCCD. Anything from China that has the words "trust" or "fire" in the name, means you shouldn't...

    RDA confused about wire gauge

All else being equal, the use of thicker wire, with no other changes... should run a cooler heat flux. Enter your builds, one at a time, into SE... and provide the individual links to those builds, including wattage for each. I'll review them for accuracy and comparative values.

Old Coils, rust, bad flavor, easier to gunk?

Kanthal A1 is comprised of iron/chromium/aluminum. You've "used up" the alumina (aluminum oxide) layer that acts as an electrical insulator, heat conductor... and an anti-corrosive protection for the iron/chromium content. Once you see black and/or rust, that coil is over and done. Frequent dry...

Old Coils, rust, bad flavor, easier to gunk?

That's a awfully short life span for a 28 gauge A-1 build. Dark, thick sugary juice? Too low a heat flux value? Wrong wire for the resistance and wattage? Any number of things, or combination of things will do it, but still... a few milliliters... that's excessive.

RDA How many watts do you vape 1ohm for better flavor?

Your first and last questions have the same answers... If you are happy with build 'X' - but have no idea where to go from there - your previous favorite builds are your baseline from which to develop a lower resistance, higher performance build. Builds with more coil surface area... and the...
