    Hello from the Pacific NW..

Welcome to the asylum, Mikey... Sometimes... a novel is the only way to get it all out. Cheers, SoF

    Need some help!!!

Without knowing your net resistance, battery brand/model... and build specific details, your issue will be hard to respond to with any degree of accuracy. More than likely, you have a mod conductivity issue... low resistance and/or battery quality and true CCD can exacerbate that issue.

It's official we're having a baby, I need some info

My daughter and 18 month old grand daughter live with my wife and I. At this age, they have no fear, and are into anything and everything they can reach... and they know how to use chairs and things to reach counters and even shelves and cabinets. I wouldn't worry about second hand vapor...

RDA Cheapest place to get RDAs

Check with Vapingcheap.com... they usually keep a current list of US RDA vendors that fairly consistently sell at a minimum profit margin.

CASAA Call To Action - SUPPORT HR2058

Not holding my breath on that one Dinger... Mount Baker Vapor has been sending out HR2058 bulletins to everyone on their e-mail list with the CASAA CTA link. They have a large e-mail list. ;)

Resistance per inch for 22 gauge A1 kanthal

Genuine Sandvik licensed Kanthal A-1 is a fixed composition of iron/chromium/aluminum. I don't know if FastTech Kanthal is identical to the licensed product, or if it's just some resistance wire they toss the name Kanthal at. The best source for Kanthal data is the US licensed vendor, Temco...

I can't be certain, but I believe Lars added the e-liquid calculator in the past 3-4 months.

    Batteries for parallel dna40

Evolv requires you to use a cell with a legitimate mfg's CD rate of 20A or higher. For warranty purposes, I'd be inclined to follow the requirement... although at your 20 watt personal preference, you're certainly not going to come close to straining the 16 amp maximum output. The HG2 has a...

    Complex recipe math help

If you've not seen it... you might want to take a look at the Steam Engine e-liquid program. It breaks down the PG/VG base and nicotine content in percentage or mg/ml, and displays the individual values, including flavoring percentages, individual mixing values and combined target values.

how to get 1.2ohm+ with 24 gauge kanthal

You can do it... but it'd barely heat up, and it'd take a good amount of time just to do that. Look at the "Results" box in the right side of this link. Heat flux is a stone cold 55 mW/mm² and heat capacity is a bog slow 113.29 mJ/K. Now look again at this link with 28 gauge... far more...

new to mechanical not vaping quistions please thanks guys

Our resident battery maven, @Mooch, has tested the genuine Sony VTC5 and indicates that it's operating temperature is in the "safe" zone up to 15A, with "caution" for 20 and 25A and "fail" for 30A. As you're lowest build net resistance is 0.4Ω, I'd not be overly concerned. You'd need to drop...

Anyone have any thoughts on the Aria Orion RDA 24k Gold?

Welcome to ECF, Brut... V1 or V2? The center positive lug post of the V1 was OK... but I gave it away because of the (relatively low volume) separated juice wells and side air inlets - which, like any side inlet RDA, can leak if you tilt it and don't have the inlets "lined up" correctly...

    Help with dual coils

Your issue is common. It's easy to use the wrong wire gauge and/or wrong build type... especially when you use a unregulated device as your power source. Learn how to use the Steam Engine coil modeling programe. With that, you can determine your "heat flux"... the radiant heat value of your...

Lowest ohms I can safely vape on my battery

That's MFGs data as collected by Steam Engine creator, @Dampmaskin... better to review, most current and actual vaping practice objective test data... as conducted by ECF resident battery maven, @Mooch.

    Suggest a build

So... you have 60-75 watts to work with. That means, with the right wire, you can go down to around 0.3Ω or slightly less. Do you have an accurate Ohm meter/build box? Not resolution, but accuracy can be critical as you dip down below 0.25Ω or so. 0.05Ω off to the low side and the amperage...

    RDA REMatty questions

Crunching the numbers (and assuming Kanthal A-1), you're around 0.4Ω and pulling 40 watts, with a heat flux of 221 mW/mm². That's slightly warm, but not hot... so I'm guessing you're taking long draws, and may not have the AFC open all the way. I don't see any other reason for what you refer to...

    RDA REMatty questions

Are you using a mech? If so, then you build for the net resistance/wattage per Ohm's law... and don't have the luxury of adjusting wattage up or down as needed. You can run thicker wire, which will reduce the coil radiant heat due to increased wire mass/density. The side benefit of thicker...
