Glad you got it working again. Yes those regulators are hard to check if possible at all. I always just for the pure having it run my dental pick up and down those rows after I finish one. and a magnifying glass as well. Sometimes it`s something hidden even. I had one that looked fine but pin 2...
Oh no please do if I said something stupid. I`ve only been up to 5 volts myself on any mod. heard to many burnt atomizer happen after that. So you being a true 6 volt is all good info in my book. :toast:
A side note now I`ve recently completed my first atomizer rebuild and did another and...
When you are referring to your batteries I take it they are 3 volt batteries x 2 getting you the 6 volts? Then no regulator needed as you thought. If they are 3.6 or 3.7 volts per battery you will use a regulator to go to 5 volts not 6. Use the 3 volt batteries x 2 for 6.
And keep that...
Vaporer I thank you so much for your great threads on rebuilding these atomizers. I`ve just completed my first 510 atomizer and it is working nicely.
I do have one thing I did different though.
You know like the legs off a LED that you solder to. Well I soldered my Nichrome wire to those...
That would be great Sci. Everyone needs this mod it fits so nicely in the hand. I`ll get to finishing up the picture later today possibly tonight. And see what it lays out like from there. :toast:
That`s great news storminyte, It`s easy to just add a tad more solder to fix that.
I have the new one built myself with a LED and I did this one the hard way. Don`t know what I was thinking doing that the way I did. All my soldering was done inside the tin. That was no fun with no room to see...
Nice work on a drop proof PV. I think it looks really cool in that picture. Alien like ooze. Oh wait a minute that`s on my glasses.
Nope nope it`s your picture cool stuff. :thumb:
Now I`m no atomizer expert but here is what I think.
I have had a few atomizers that I`m not sure where from but worked fine only on 3.7 volts and did this same thing to my 5 volt as you mention.
Rocky Mountain Vapor atomizers have worked fine for my 5 volt.. Just do they have them in...
You can either wait till later and I`ll post this or you can check out the album I`m sticking it in here
It`s going to be a complete step by step though
Making a eclipse mints tin mod pictures by _Connman_ - Photobucket
Now I`m waiting on this box to dry then I`ll drill the holes then...
Hi there storminyte,
Sci used the lid as a ground with his wires due to the booster he used. If you are not using a booster you can just use the lid as I did. A nice Blob of solder to it and try for contact to battery negative if you need more add more. My battery went right to the lid darn...
Thanks for the input there asdaq. I thought of using the tube as the ground but the wire still made it into my plans somehow. I like that spring idea and if I do go with actually putting this together I will give that a very hard look at. Thanks for the idea. :thumb:
I thought it was a good...
I so much agree Sci that tin is the best mod I`ve had in my hands for comfort, well except for ol-Nico Drip 24 here at 5 Volts
I do need to step my next eclipse tin up now with that booster like yours. Sweet.
All now I see. Sneaky Nicotime. It`s not wise to con a Conn
But it worked. :toast:
Niciotime only size text>So we split the mods 50/50 and don`t tell Dreams nothing right? We are going to be having all sorts of cool mods after this party.Ut-oh think Jiff is on to us
20 on the 27th. Oh how I wish I was only turning 20 again. I could redo well over half my life that way but that would put me back in the service.
Well a party at jiff`s and nicotime penning for mods think I`ll only be using my stock 510 for this party. Or if Dreams would then peen...
Hi DenniZ,
I use the same one misterD put the link to in his post due to the control pin and it hasn`t given me any trouble yet on my mods.
You may want to Put TI Regulator in the search feature on the bottom left of the forum page here. Lots of great post come up there. Got stuck reading a...
