    When you are referring to your batteries I take it they are 3 volt batteries x 2 getting you the 6 volts? Then no regulator needed as you thought. If they are 3.6 or 3.7 volts per battery you will use a regulator to go to 5 volts not 6. Use the 3 volt batteries x 2 for 6. And keep that...

    That`s great news storminyte, It`s easy to just add a tad more solder to fix that. I have the new one built myself with a LED and I did this one the hard way. Don`t know what I was thinking doing that the way I did. All my soldering was done inside the tin. That was no fun with no room to see...
