You know Dan, I think I was the one pulling for more liquid, increasing the diameter increased the tank size plenty, I was just thinking either or, since you have decided on bigger diameter, why not drop the longer tank and just have one?
Oxidation is just a fancy word for depositing oxides on something. You are coating the SS with crap so it won't conduct. Some folks like a lighter flame better.
The stainless is a fiddlers 'wick' at best, there's a reason why there are no commercial products made using stainless steel mesh as a wick. There are probably a hundred different considerations I could give you to build one of these, and you still might not get good results. I have played...

Yep, thats the ultrasonic patent I was speaking of that they are trying to litigate over. There's no telling what the outcome may be, but generally the jist of patents is that they are focused on methods and design, not just the generic idea itself. There are a zillion light bulb patents.
Perhaps someone can correct me, but my understanding is that the simple heating coil\wick\battery device that is most commonly used now is NOT patented, at least in the US. All of the ecig patents I've seen have ultrasonic atomization in the design.

I threw my s wire away the first day. Notch a plumbing washer, fit it in. Put little peice of rubber in center. Cut off a ce2 post, put batt end in center. Screw down and light up.
