    The stir bar (magnet) I have is encased in some sort of coating, not sure what, maybe Teflon or something.... And yes, I brew beer as well and I'll definitely be using it for yeast starters.

    You can connect to either the left terminal and the middle, or to the right terminal and the middle. The only difference between the two is it changes which way you have to turn the knob to increase or decrease the speed of the fan.

    I built a magnetic stir plate a few days ago, but I realized the CPU fan I used spins too fast for my 100 mL beaker. I picked up a rheostat from Radioshack, but I'm a bit confused about how to hook it up. Below is a picture of the inside of the stir plate, and the rheostat I bought:

    18% of my juice is flavor (PG based), and 6% nic (PG based). A total of 76 VG/24 PG. I ususally like something around 80/20. Does nic gain TH when it steeped a while, ie. Once it oxidized a bit?

    Haha, I can definitely see how someone might start investing quite a bit in to juice making. I already want more concentrates and I haven't even received my start-up supplies yet. I already have pipettes, bottles, storage jars, and syringes.
