    I had the same problem, and just switched over to bamboo yarn. It wicks well, doesn't burn as easily, but it does have an earthy flavor. I haven't tried boiling it yet, and I don't know if that would make much of a difference.

    For me, I started at 36 (crazy!) and that's where I needed to be for the first month or so. I dropped down to 24mg and didn't feel a difference, then I went between 24 and 18 depending on flavor for another month. These days, I switch between 3 and 6mg. I mix my own, so price isn't an issue...
