    Idk. I know for a fact that I used a 24g inside on that kanthal clapton. And the diameter was 3mm I think so more wire being used. Never had an issue with the posts so why would it start now. How do I even check that?

    That was before I had a drill dude so I had no choice lol And it's at .395 ohms. And the connections were always Super tight on all of these builds. I'm thinking - could it be the plume veil atty? Or should that have nothing to do with it :confused:

    This was the very first clapton coil I did in my life. Also wrapped by hand. What a pain. done with kanthal 28 around 24 just like the dude above but mine also had less wraps. And took my whole life to ramp up. Why? :(

    I don't get it. The very first clapton I ever did was on kanthal and just like yours that was 28 around 24. That took like 8 years to ramp up. Around 5 wraps. That's the whole reason I went with nichrome but got similar results. How's that even possible?
