    Wire heating question

Thanks Reydan ill definitely check out that link. Yes i actually made a mistake. I squeezed the lower coil too hard that's why its coming over the other one like that. Anyway to fix it if you pinch it too much? Or is it a done deal at that point and might as well build a new coil?

    Wire heating question

Got it, thank you dude for the strumming tip, I didn't know that. And I usually do use the opposite positive to get the coils in the center (plus take advantage of the neg air flow holes), I'm just kind of experimenting with it being slanted like that. Also, when I do the opposite positive...

Was stopped by a cop today while vaping.

yup, 'cause the moment someone makes a wrong battery judgment and gets seriously hurt and it ends up on the news next thing vaping is gonna be banned everywhere

    Battery question

flat is most likely referring to the top pin being flat, and 25A,30A and so forth refers to the max amperage of the battery

    Wire heating question

gotcha, and thank you Dave, I put everything away and gonna take a break for a little bit. Gonna re-visit it later on tonight, create the same coils, tweak it all up and vape like crazy. So - why do coils heat up un-evenly when we fire them up? Is it because of the space in between the...

    Wire heating question

Well I've built it, fired it up, adjusted the coils so that they glow evenly from inside out, but the battery gets too hot in my opinion so just like you said - I'm drawing too much power out of it as it shouldn't be heating up like that. It does heat up towards the top where the atty is but...

    Wire heating question

forget that post dude, I wrote that before I learned about the heat flux and how it relates to watts true but I guess I'm trying to find a comfort zone with that battery so that it lasts more than 10 puffs and doesn't heat up too much, hence why I was aiming at .5. I'm gonna work on this...

    Wire heating question

I got you, why do I feel like 313 heat flux won't give me enough of a warm vape on this build? Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

it's .54, there is no decimal when you drop below 1 ohm

    Wire heating question

Gotcha, that's what I thought too. I've been building coils since I got up at 10. Got a nice one right now but it's a single coil build. 2mm diameter, 26 gauge 4 wrap sitting at .5ohms. I already did higher res around .8 but gradually went down to .7 then .6 now .5 with higher heat flux...

    multi meter fractions

so once my Apollo comes in and the batteries get here (ordered 3 vtc4's and a xtar vp2 charger), in the future, and I'm talking no earlier than 2-3 months, I'm thinking about getting a box mod and getting into mixing my own juices. But the box mod is gonna cost me obviously. Also mutation x v1...

    Wire heating question

guys I just want to verify one thing, you mentioned in the example above - target resistance for single at 2ohms and for double at 1. Below the target resistance field in the coil wrapping tab - when they say "total resistance for your built" they're actually referring to the total resistance...

    Wire heating question

Reydan, I got the other parts but this one confuses me. Coil wrapping is not intertwined with ohm's law section. And I don't see an option in ohm's law to change it to dual coil, I only see that in the coil wrap section. Can you elaborate on that a little by what you meant? And btw thank you...

    Wire heating question

That's exactly my point. I was putting out .5 with change on one coil with 24 gauge and it lit right up. I go to dual coil, 28 gauge, match up the ohm resistance on SE, do everything right, and they WORK but it takes a while to heat up, EVEN THOUGH my res ohm wise was identical. That's what...

    Wire heating question

Guys thank you for taking the time to help me. Everything is dully noted and ill read your posts several times to make sure it all sinks in real good. As for the double coils.... I built this, 28 gauge kanthal 6 wraps and got the number exactly i was going for on SE. but it didnt vape very...

    Wire heating question

I just don't get it . I was gonna do a build with 1 Ohm . I make a 28 gauge 10 wrap. It's sitting at 2 ohms at this point without the other coil. And battery won't heat it up enough. Why?
