Oh .. glad you told me how it's suppose to be used .. ha ha .. they would have told me I was nuts thinking I should just add it to a hot cup of coffee :)

I'll call them tomorrow and then will also send them an email with the picture .. seeing how the flavoring is suppose to go into HOT tea and coffee then heating it shouldn't do what it did.

All I know is it etched itself into the plastic of my measuring cup .. it didnt just coat the cup, it etched itself INTO it. And it did it in less that the 10 seconds that it was in, and out, of that cup. Anything that can do that is scarey IMO. Here's a picture of it again:

Yep, that is how I feel too Salem, I have followed many of Kurt's posts for a long time, I consider him an expert and if he says it then that ends it for me.

Maybe this is why NF has said that their flavorings are not for inhalation?

also ... I ordered from NF's "coffee and tea flavoring", which it also says on my bottle.

Wow Kurt ... thank you SO much for looking into this and for your posting. And thank you so much to Salemgold. The label on my Butterscotch3X bottle says the ingredients are "organic ethyl alcohol, vegetable glycerin and natural flavoring". Even though the ingredients do not say gum arabic...

Both of them are very good .. they both tasted GOOD right after mixing but after 24 hrs steeping they tasted GREAT. Today they are even GREATER and have been steeping for 48 hrs. Hard to decide which one I like better, they're both so good, I even tried them mixed together and that's great...

That was my first thought too, when it happened. Since others have been vaping NF for a long time and didnt die .. at least none of them told us they died .. then I plan to keep vaping it.

I used 10% for the Butterscotch, which is high for me because I rarely go over 5% on any of my other DIY. This is great at 10% but YMMV. If I decide to keep vaping this I might lower it to 5-7%, the flavor is fantastic IMHO, I am just a little scared of it right now LOL.

I dont think it could have been from overheating, I never put it into boiling water. I brought the water to a boil, removed it from the stove, then put a pyrex custard cup with the flavoring in it into the water, about half way up the custard cup. I let it sit in the water for about 45...

DIY Flavoring Thread - Part 2

Since it is for Tea and Coffee flavoring I assume that having the water super hot is not a problem. I had transferred the flavoring from the glass pyrex cup into this plastic measuring cup to make it easy to pour back into the bottle, the flavoring was in and out of that little cup in less...

DIY Flavoring Thread - Part 2

It happened with the Butterscotch3X. The picture is of the plastic cup .. it did also happen on a pyrex glass cup but it eventually came off the glass after many hot water soaks. But it stayed on the plastic cup and is actually etched onto it.

DIY Flavoring Thread - Part 2

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words LOL ... so here's a picture. The white stuff is not only permanently affixed to the inside of the plastic cup but it is actually "etched" to it. Notice how some of the other area around the spout doesn't have the white on it because the flavoring...

DIY Flavoring Thread - Part 2

Hi Salem .. it didnt etch into the pyrex, only into the plastic. On the pyrex it had a thick cloudy white residue, like a layer of white coating, and yes even on the pyrex that coating was "bumpy" .. but unlike the plastic, the pyrex one did eventually come off the glass after several soaks...

DIY Flavoring Thread - Part 2

It also coated the glass pyrex cup .. but I was finally able to get it off the glass by repeatedly soaking it in hot water. But the plastic measuring cup doesnt actually have a coating, the cloudy white residue is etched into the plastic and feels "bumpy" to the touch. It is even etched into...

another NF update .. a strange thing happened. After I finished the hot water bath on the stove of the NF flavoring, I then poured it into a heavy plastic clear measuring cup I have. Then I used the spout of that measuring cup to pour the evaporated flavoring back into it's original glass...

Just vaped my non-steeped Caramel Cream. I am a caramel-lover, it's what I vape 90% of the time. When I ordered the NF Butterscotch3X it was not the one I thought I'd prefer, I thought for sure it would be the Caramel Cream. Maybe it's because I evaporated the Butterscotch more, or maybe I...

DIY Flavoring Thread - Part 2

OK decided not to cook the NF in a pot LOL ... instead I boiled some water in a pot, then I turned the burner down to low, then I dumped the flavoring into a pyrex cup and put the cup into the water. I left the burner on "low". I left the Butterscotch3X in that water bath, with the stove set...
