Sorry to bring this up again, but what about treating the brass parts? I've seen it posted that machined brass can be soaked in a solution of peroxide and vinegar to remove any surface lead. Sorry I don't know more about this but I swear I've seen it mentioned before. Can anyone confirm this?
I ordered a zenith clone from 101vapes and should have it today. Was thinking to send it in for bf modding if I like it but do I understand correctly that these have brass center pins? If so would pickling be sufficient to remove exposed surface lead, and is that part of your process?
Wondering if anyone has modded the magma by drilling holes in the insulator ala the latest quigsworth atomic mod? Got the clone en route. Will report back with my success or failure with this method (its really my only option given my lack of skill and tools...).

Close, I was aiming for the holes to emerge on either side of the wire holes, but I missed them a bit. Still have juice flooding each side of the deck. Probably could have drilled from either side but felt I had more room to drill straighter if I went from the bottom.
Success! Got some very small drill bits from my local harbor freight, chucked the right sized one (?) in my rotary tool and drilled two small holes right through the insulator. Squonks effortlessly and drains perfectly. Also opened up the wire holes and gound down the center screw to insure...
