    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

IMHO An initial 1/2 hour of 150F helps release flavor molecules. A long room temperature steep after the heat provides me with all the flavor I think I'm going to get out of a particular extraction. A lot of my extracts change their flavor profile after the made juice has steeped for a month or...

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

I like this one. At 150F it pulls 3-4 amps, and should last for years. It has variable temp control up to 580F. It takes awhile to heat up unless your using it for extraction at 150F which you get almost as soon as you turn it on. Not too shabby for $17.00USD. Amazon.com: Aroma AHP-303 Single...

I took a chance and ordered one of these puppies to go on the 26650 Hades. I'm not getting the flavor from the Tohb atty that's on the Hades now. I hope it's worth it. $15.41 Magma Style Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - stainless steel / 30.7mm dia. at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping Lost...

    Pipe tobacco and Cigar extraction

After 18 months of extracting I have found that using no more than 80 mls of solvent to cover an ounce of tobacco produces the best tasting extract. Using more than 80 mls becomes exponential taste wise. The more solvent, the flatter the taste. I found this with both hot or cold methods. More...

    Pipe tobacco and Cigar extraction

Why are you using such large amounts for an experiment? Wouldn't it be better to break things down so that you'll have plenty of extract from tried and true methods and small batches for the experimental stuff?

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Thanks. I see where you guys are coming from now. Your talking about the tobacco leaves' cells aside from the flavor molecules. By breaking down the cells by freezing you theorize it may help release the flavor molecules if I'm reading into it correctly. That's all fine and well for the plant...

That's right, big news indeed. I've never found an extract, made myself or traded, that comes close to Patriot. Even tried extensive experiments mixing single varietals. No dice. Patriot is the one commercial NET I'll buy when there's a sale. The last 50% off sale I stocked up but it didn't last...

Nope. Freezing isn't going to do that. I look forward to your notes, especially the attributions. The casings and sweeteners were injected into the leaves by pressure. A solvent, PG, VG, PGA will leech them out. Crystallization will only break them down and separate them.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Cold contracts, heat expands. I don't see what or how cold would breakdown the cell walls. How does that work? Heat, under high pressure perhaps, but cold? Freezing causes crystallization and the different molecules will react and separate according to their atomic structure. Once this happens...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Today I've been vaping McClelland Dominican Glory Maduro. Matured, tangy red flue-cured leaf combined with lemon Virginia that has been stoved black. In addition there is Dominican Maduro cigar leaf. It's a very creamy non-aromatic with the stoved Virginia coming through equally with the Maduro...
