I just wanted to thank GatorVapor fopr hooking up a colleague of mine this weekend - I've been trying to get her to switch to eCigs for months and she finally bit the bullet with you guys! :-) She got herself a pink 510 setup and is EXTREMELY happy with it and the service that she got!
Right Wille - the 510 cartridge has airflow along the sides - the atty's air flow goes through the middle.... (Like your pic shows)
I wanna say that Scubabatdan has a picture somewhere (But I'm too lazy to find it!)
First stop would be Exogenesis' incredible breakdown picture of a 901:

After that - look closely at YOUR 510 cartridge - it really is compelex for a little bit of plastic, the air flow goes around the sides - not through the middle as it first...
Something like this one, or maybe this post Budjiman?
There are a couple of diagrams in the Evercool thread... what are you looking for?
If you only have one chip left, solder some leads onto the legs and that way you can mess it up and not hurt the chip... just the leads....
Hey Illux - funny thing... Yesterday I was chatting with someone and they mentioned Mapp Gas... And I went "Oh! Acetylene! Mapp is a brand name..." You made me look smart!
Just as a point of note - I've been vaping for over a year now - I don't remember what a real cigarette's throat hit is like! :-)
Now it seems the 'worst' throat hits are from running low on juice... :-(
The plastic zips are not the problem
Didn't think so - but it was a guess....
What do you do with the silica rope ??? Use it without pre treatment ??? or wash it ??? or what ???
I'm too lazy to do anything - I rip it off my rope, wrap it with Nichorme, put it all together and vape... No...
Aww, shucks....
Persis - my thought would be the plastic zip ties too.... Can you tie the tubes together with SS wire?
Other than that - the only other culprit is the wick... (And I know MY silica doesn't taste bad!)
I'm futzing around and doing minor surgery on several mods... And to isolate some of the connections that I've made in a home built atty I am applying some heat shrink to keep the pos and negs away from each other and the shell...
My question is whether anyone knows of any long term use of heat...
I wanna know who the disco queen is in the purple dress... :-) j/k!
Beautiful job Harley! I might use that idea on some stuff I have around here.........
