Which Mod Delivers the Most Flavor?

I can't speak for 901's as I've never used them, but 510's seem to do well at about 4.5v, and the 801's shine at 5v. A 5v nicostick with a TI LDO regulator lasts me easily 1.5 days on a single set of 14500 batteries.

    A simple 5V Mod for a 510?

Ah, a spudger - I thought that's what it might have been, but wasn't sure. Glad you got it sorted out!

    5V Mod and dripping

3 drops gives me a good 6 drags or so. If I let it 'rest' for a while, I can get a couple more before dripping again.

    Push Buttons

I use the 3A momentary switches from Radio shack. They seem to hold up well so far.

You're going to *need* to drag for a second or so to cool the atomizer after getting off the button - that's why it's getting so hot, and I'm sure it's not helping flavor very much, either. Keeping juice in the atty, I can't help you with very much. I used fluval in mine, which was usually...

Ok, all kidding aside - airflow is CRITICAL to the 510s. Are you hitting it more often, or longer? Are you continuing to drag for a second or so after letting go of the button? Did you do a straight install of the atty connector, or did you use Warp's RCA system? What did you use for the...

I didn't say you WERE vaping high voltage - did you read the FIRST two lines of my 'You shouldn't" list? Sounds like you've changed your usage pattern going from an OEM 3.7v battery to a modded 3.7v battery - that was the point behind my tongue in cheek response.

    510 manual passthrough mod

IF you decide to use batteries in sets, ALWAYS keep them together, use them together, and charge them together. I have 3 sets of 14500's - they're marked 1, 2 and 3.

    Dude...try some regular oxygen once in a while..it's pretty nice once you get used to it! :p You shouldn't chain-vape a 510 with the normal battery. You shouldn't chain-vape a 510 with a mod. You ESPECIALLY shouldn't chain-vape a 510 with a high-volt mod!!

    A simple 5V Mod for a 510?

The TI regulator gives you 5v all the way down to the cutoff voltages. Resistors don't - your voltage will sag as the batteries deplete.

MYTHS and FACTS about Batteries + mods

Impedance is a relationship between voltage vector and current vector, not the internal resistance of the power supply. Given the low voltage, you would probably see a net loss after adding the components to balance the circuit in regards to impedance.

    A simple 5V Mod for a 510?

Ratshack is the 7805, right? With the tab to the top, label up and pins facing you, the Vin should be the LH pin. Ground in the center and Vout is the RH pin. I really recommend you get the TI regulator, though - the RS regulator has a MUCH higher cutoff - about 1.5v higher than the TI.

A normal nicostick isn't hard to make at all. I'm not sure how much a custom case would cost to make.
