    A simple 5V Mod for a 510?

Ok, look at your battery box. We're going to call the battery slot with the on-off switch in it 'slot 1' and go from there, ok? Look at slot 4. At one end, you have a jumper (spring on one side, bump on the other that goes between battery slots) and on the other end, a single pad. Take out...

    Recommended MosFet for 5v mods

You need to reference the gate to ground so that it doesn't float. A 10k or so resistor should work fine.

High Voltage - 5/6v MOD Recommendations

Nicostick is easiest. Use a 3aa box, put the switch/regulator/connector in the unused 3rd space.

    Recommended MosFet for 5v mods

I've used the TI CSD16325 MOSFETs. They're damned small and a bit of a pain to solder to, but they *do* work.

MYTHS and FACTS about Batteries + mods

Start with yourself, if you're saying that 3.7v out of one mod is somehow different than 3.7v out of another mod. I guess your mod must use those gas line magnets to align the electrons, giving you a stronger vape. Why, I bet it vapes at 3.7v like other mods do at 6v!!!

What other atty's will fit a 510 connector, and same question for a 401 connector

510 and 401 are reverse mates - the attys screw together and the batteries screw together. Take the connector out of a 401 atty and put it in your mod and you can use a 510 atty, and vice versa.

    Help with NicoStick Mod

By George, I think he's got it! ;) Yeah, that's correct. You have your 'normal' atomizer connections, then the LED can be added at your leisure.

    Help with NicoStick Mod

I think he's having problems understanding the diagram. Lowend - the LED is added on top of the 'normal' atomizer wiring - it doesn't take the place of anything else. You'll have two wires coming off the switch; one to the center of the atomizer, and one to the LED and resistor. You attach...

    A simple 5V Mod for a 510?

Yes on the TI regulator, no on the RS one. Cutoff on the TI (where it quits supplying 5v) is 5.5v. Cutoff on the RS is 7v. You can vape longer on a set of batteries with the TI.

    Passthou ? Advice please

Seems like it should work, although I'd prefer something 1.5A or bettery, myself. May want to keep your drags pretty short so you don't overheat it.

5V Regulator or DC Booster: Which is better?

It'd work fine for your 3AA box - just have to wire the batteries in parallel, that's all.

    Passthou ? Advice please

Passthroughs *have* burned out USB ports before, yes. There's no guarantee that it will or it won't on any specific computer. Radio shack sells a 4.5v, 1.6Ah wall wart that some folks have had good luck with. You'd have to splice a female USB cable in place of the DC cable, however...
