    have a few mod questions

No, you would need to keep the voltages matched. If you have disimilar voltages, they will try to equalize between the battery packs. That could have some ugly consequences. Your 7.2v pack with the regulator wired up to it should work fine.

    have a few mod questions

Atomizers are definitely a personal choice, as I said above. You'll get as many "this is the best atomizer" answers as there are posters here. Multi battery mods that run 3.7v have the batteries wired in parallel (both positive terminals wired together and both negative terminals wired...

    Basic questions...

The cutoff for the TI regulators is about 5.5v - with the 3.7v batteries in series, you have a longer "use time" before they drop to the cutoff level, all else being equal.

The silver solder you reference is rosin-core, you shouldn't need flux.

    have a few mod questions

    1. 5-6v is about right. 2. 5-6v is about right 3. You can make mods with all of them - it's very much a personal preference. 4. Check the Nicostick threads for parts lists and instructions.

    Nicostick battery?

    You'll love it.

    Sources for connectors

Ruyan Direct / Heaven's Gifts has 801 charge extenders - very easy to work with to get the connector out, and only $3.50 apiece. If there's a reversed connector match for the 801 (like the 401/510), then you'd also get a connector for that.

    510 NicoStick - 401 Atty as connector

You can, but it's fiddly - the 401 charger connector actually works best in a buried installation due to it's shape. You also have to relieve the connector in some manner for air flow (either grind down the connector or slot it). If I had to rebuild one of my 510 nicosticks and couldn't use...

And don't forget to buy a charger!

    NicoStick Saved My Day

In this case, you're using 3 of them to make a 3.6v, 2500mAh battery - what you have there is roughly equivalent to an 18650, but split into 3 cells instead of one.

    resistor question

That's odd - mine have lasted a couple months now and still going strong.

    resistor question

All depends on your setup (I can't open your pic). If you're using 3v batteries, then a small resistor will work fine. For 3.7v batteries, a resistor can still work, but a regulator will be more stable as you will get 5v all the way down until the batteries cut off.

How large is your solder diameter? If you're using a small iron (16w-20w), you should be getting solder like this. If it's the size of a normal pencil lead, it's too big. Also, make sure your iron is fully hot and properly tinned.

    NicoStick Saved My Day

At 2500mAh, you should easily get at least a couple days and probably more unless you're a HUGE vaper. I have a hi-voltage nicostick that uses two 900mAh batteries running through a regulator and I can get a day and a half out of it vaping about 2ml a day.

    JuicyBox musings

    That'll work!

    JuicyBox musings

Won't work - you'll set up a differential discharge between the 4-batt side and the 3-batt side. Use 2 x 3AA or 2 x 4AA instead. Or, get a couple sets of AA lithium (14500 protected batteries) and a voltage regulator and get some 5v goodness running.

The PVMA no more worries for batt connectors!

I don't see why it would be any different...
