    510 RCA jack question

    The metal RCA jacks worked fine for my 801 and 510 atomizers. Both were reasonably secure press-fit, but I put a bit of gel-type superglue on them to be sure.

    Try getting some flux paste and dipping the hot tip in it. If that doesn't work, VERY lightly scuff the tip with some sandpaper - you just want to rough up the factory tinning a tiny bit, not remove anything.

    File off a tiny bit of the contact on the inside of the RCA plug - I took a bit TOO much off mine and need to take a dab of solder and build it back up for my 510 / RCA adapter. For my 801, I took a crimp pin and cut it short, then pushed it down through the battery connector to make better...

    Sure thing, Annah. I'm actually waiting on a regulator that kardjunkie was kind enough to send me, and then I'll be making a series nicostick, as well. Look at the very first picture - see the bridging jumpers between the battery slots? You would take out the one between the center battery...

    Sorry to hijack your thread, legpro. I tweaked the center post a tiny bit to one side and it seems to make contact 100% of the time, now - call it 'something to try' if the tolerance stacks don't fall your way.

    The metal, bulkhead mount RS jacks....sometimes, I can plug the atty in and it's fine...other times, I have to pull it a bit off-center. I can't see any way to get inside and tweak the center spring.

    The only problem I see with Warp's RCA brainchild is the 'wiggle factor' - sometimes, you've got to hold the atomizer a little off center so it gets good contact on the center conductor. Or, it's just the crappy RS jacks... :D

    The 18650s won't fit in there...and at 3.7v apiece, you'd have to rewire it to parallel (or put in a regulator) even if they did!
