I *believe* they limit amperage as well, but you might want to check with Kinabaloo, mogur, or one of the other big brains - they're definitely more up to speed on that stuff and are probably your best bet for that type of info.
I've got a few folks at work that are thinking on it...that's why I got an 801 starter set recently - give them a look at a different type and maybe persuade them to make a purchase of their own.
Jason - you'd have the LED and resistor connected together, then connect that across the atty or switch.
So - center of atty - resistor - LED - outside of atty.
Or - output of switch - resistor - LED - outside of atty.
Both work the same.
