Y'all are welcome... I saw it linked from here on ECF a while back and saved it...
Here's an excel spreadsheet that will give amps/watts for coils on a Provari - set up to where, if it's above the amp or watt limit, it won't return a reading. Atomizer ohms is a dropdown menu ranging from 0.3...
You want to trim at an angle - if you look at the wick when it's sticking straight out from the coil, you want to cut where it comes to a point as it hits the deck.

Still fighting to find the right amount and setup... but it's certainly no worse than I was getting on my R91. Opening up the airflow seems to have helped some with the gunking, and I think I was feeding too *much* liquid...the hiss/gurgle was deeper/muted.
I'm using a 3/32 coil at 1.6 ohms on a Provari, running about 12.5 watts. Airflow is pretty open, had to install the spacer under the screw of the Erkonigin to get some room to bring the airflow out a bit more.
Ok, rewick time... coil was (again) fairly gunked up. Was still getting vapor, but had lost flavor and only getting the sweet of the VG.
Wicked with ~1.5x coil diameter (stretched), not as tight as before but still seemed to fill the coil, *really* thinned out tails for juice wells in the...
I don't think it's sorted, yet....let me go through how I do it.
I cut off a piece of CC, separate out a section and then lightly smooth it with my fingertips, like we used to smooth out a slightly crunched/crooked cig - too much 'pull' at this point pulls the fibers apart in the middle of the...
I'm 889, so that gets my notice somewhere around the week of the 4th... gonna have to change my shipping addy, I think, with the delays in getting stuff to military mail, I think I'll be in the States when it actually ships.
Thanks - my wick isn't see though, I'm using about 2.5x the diameter of the coil and I'm not twisting it any more than necessary to get it through the coil. It *is* tight enough that I have to hold a finger against the Provari or it'll fall over as I pull the wick through, so maybe I'm using...
