I keep half a pack of cigarettes in my freezer :) the same pack I was smoking when I finally quit 8 months ago. At one point a few months after I quit I got really stressed out and had one. I felt like :censored: for half an hour afterward. Lesson learned; I haven't touched them since.
I...
State O' Flux, I love this idea and you can count me in! :thumb:
My experience with mods and other 3rd generation equipment is extremely limited at this point but I am learning quickly. I have an engineering degree so it doesn't take me much time to pick up on these things - my major...
Sigh... after reading through so many posts on this thread (including the disturbing video of that kid subohming), I would like to add my name to the rather long list of people who think that cloud chasing events like vape blast should require that all attending the event (not just...
I wouldn't consider her that way at all... more of a person who persists in holding onto her beliefs even when the raw evidence slaps her in the face... I have had many arguments with her about many things, and I can say with confidence that she relies on her intuition a lot more than I do - I...
Yes but only when locked. When unlocked it should vent out the bottom switch, because the vent holes are covered then.
I posted a pic earlier in this thread (like a week or two ago) of my switch. The nemesis switch is supposed to have notches in it. Mine doesn't, so when the mod is unlocked...
There does not need to be venting at the top, only at the bottom - that way if the battery fails, the mod vents out the bottom, which will spare your face and hands (you really don't want ventholes at the top for that reason!). It looks like you have the right notches in the switch threading...
Update (again): It seems the folks at MFS have changed their tune. Apparently they don't think venting out of the switch is necessary for a nemesis. Here is an excerpt from the email I received today:
After looking at the mod very closely, there may not be vent holes on the firing button, but...
I believe, as far as she is concerned, it is a combination of feeling that nicotine addiction is harmful (insofar as addiction to anything is considered harmful) and fear that the e-cig is not really safer than smoking. Tbh I don't believe her husband is being too helpful on that last point...
You don't know what you've got til it's gone :)
I know I am truly not myself at all without nicotine - I am nasty, cranky, out of focus and severely disconnected from my surroundings, etc. It is a terrible thing really :(
These stories remind me of my sister... two full-time vapers in the immediate family and she still insists there's no point in switching if she can just quit. It seems to me she's still suspicious that addiction to nicotine is harmful in and of itself (thank you for that, popular opinion...)...
I agree. With regard to public sentiment, we are still on the losing end. For every wonderful article like this one I see, there are at least 10 more bashing them, citing flawed studies and quoting the CDC or FDA. Unfortunately, almost all the articles I see from popular, well-known media are...
I wandered over there and nosed around a bit to see what the fuss was all about. At the bottom of a locked thread about an e-cigarette study I found this:
This thread was locked because we have asked members not to post anything related to the pros or cons of ecigs unless published by the FDA...
That is absolutely true. I wouldn't have spent so much time submitting carefully worded comments to the FDA docket if I didn't think it would make any difference, and I suspect the belief that it would have no impact is one of the biggest reasons we had so few comments on our side...
Hope is...
I first smoked when I was 10 because I was curious. That's all. Coolness wasn't such a big deal when I was 10.
I got hooked when I was 12 (the third time I ever smoked), and I was really hooked - I stole, I hid cigarettes, I snuck around, anything I could do to get more cigarettes. I...
Exactly. I vape for the nicotine - in fact I vape 24 mg and have zero intention of lowering it. I derive health and psychological benefits from my nic level, and the last thing I want to do is start messing around with pharmaceutical nicotine products trying to get nearly the same dose...
I'll never forget this quote from Michelle Pfeiffer:
"I used to smoke two packs a day and I just hate being a nonsmoker... but I will never consider myself a nonsmoker because I always find smokers the most interesting people at the table."
