ScienceDaily.com (10/15/14) from NEJM: "The FDA, E-Cigarettes, and the Demise of Combusted Tobacco"

It's funny you mention that because I'm actually far more sensitive to B6 (pyridoxine) than I am to nicotine. I can vape 24mg nicotine all day, but if I take a couple B complex I... well...... let's just say you don't wanna be around me for a while  Besides, it's not a matter of what...

17 Oct 2014: Big pharma has an interest in rich people being sick (The Guardian)

This is a government/organization problem. And it is also a pharmaceutical company issue. Look at Chantix for example. Pfizer wants to keep pressing for their drug to be available, even though it has already killed hundreds of people and driven thousands more to some variation of insanity...

Thank you everybody! :vapor: It would be a pretty neat picture... mainly because we all look so much alike! It could be awhile tho, I would have to get permission, and someone else to take the pic... so we'll see!

CNN: Don't Let Big Tobacco crush e-cigs (Oped by SJ)

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Smokey Joe for writing this article and jumping through all the hoops to get it published by CNN! It was an excellent editorial and I think it explains our issues perfectly to those who are uninitiated, which is...

    Awesome news is awesome :D

It was actually much more of a casual affair - after Mom showed her how to use the equipment and set it up, we just sat around the living room vaping and chit chatting for a while. I couldn't have asked for better tho :) No pic tho, I've already gone home. But maybe someday :)

FDA RJ Reynolds (RAI) files FDA comment asking for its competition to be banned

E-cigarettes are not currently considered a tobacco product nor a medical product in the US - the FDA is currently trying to deem them a tobacco product. Right now they are not in any regulatory category. The FDA wants to regulate them, but when they attempted in the past to treat them as...

Study finds US smokers who have used e-cigs daily (for at least a month) are six times more likely to have quit smoking than smokers who haven't vaped

Therein lies the difference between a study that gives people one model of e-cigarette, and one that allows participants to choose whatever works for them - much higher reported quit rates :D

    FDA What happens if/when…

I understand that your post is not in response to me directly. However, as to your concern with MAOIs in cigarette smoke - I outlined a logical counterargument heavily based in scientific evidence (on page 30 of this thread) as to why your hypothesis is likely false. Yet, you seem to have...

FDA new york state, vaping indoors can be punishable by criminal misconduct?

That was very interesting, thank you :) You close by saying that people need to know their rights, and that most here don't. However, your detailed example is specifically referring to the state of Texas. New York is quite different. As it stands, Erie county legislators (the county...

FDA new york state, vaping indoors can be punishable by criminal misconduct?

Castile! Howdy! :vapor: I've driven through there, like 5 times :D welcome to ECF! There's a Buffalo vapors thread embedded deep within the "social group" forum under "location specific" somewhere... sure enough there's been like 4 posters total in the last 2 years since it's been there

    FDA What happens if/when…

Andria, I hate to say this, but it is hard for me to support your position when you have no proof of your assumption. Yes, it is true that people who have a genetic tendency towards mood disorders often begin showing symptoms in their early teens, and may take up smoking to mediate the...

Smokers in the UK being swayed by negative PR on ecigs

This is sad :( it goes to show just how much influence health officials have. This blog certainly adds credence to the term "desk murderers" I'm glad she has remained hopeful though, as will I :) the truth can't be suppressed forever.
