Here's how I fixed my vamo:
I use the clone kanfun lite with the vamo v5. My wife dropped hers several times. I had a 510 to 510 adapter (ego threaded, also). That worked. On my setup, it must be poor vamo AND poor kayfun. I've seen that adapter everywhere, they are ≈$3.00. You could even...
I never thought to remove the mouthpiece and look. Sure enough, I see some of the o-ring thru the hole. So when I top fill, screwing the top back down mis-aligns the ring. Now what?
I'll try to back the top off a couple of threads and re-seat the o-ring. Maybe use the bottom fill only (not...
I think theres no fixing these kayfun lite clones. Today, I removed the chimney o-ring, replaced with the spare o-ring that came with the $50.00 unit. No change, same senario: leaks thru the air hole until proper vacuum acieved. I'm thinking about stuffing two o-rings in the top cap. I...
It just stops leaking after drawing on them awhile. Is it that gulf moisture coming up from the south? I'm sure I fill too high, I'll take that suggestion and fill just pass the glass.
I keep all three kfl filled. I'm actually getting burn hits from the real one. Shoot, I prefer the clones today!
I tried a different build: I ran the coil wrap perpendicular to the post screws, whereas I previously ran the wrap in-line with the screws. I cut the ends shorter, just long...
I filled the fasttech kfl for the first time, stood it up on its end and went for a walk. When I came back every drop was gone. I thought "oh man, I've bought some crap". I've read countless articles, numerous videos. That's how I finally got it right.
I checked out that Tobeco...
So I'll talk to myself, share my finding w/fasttech kayfun lite users:
I stuck with the top fill, but covered the air hole with my thumb. I screwed the top cap ALMOST tight (still holding the air hole) and turned it upside down until I saw the air pocket completely shift. Tighten the top...
I've been using the fasttech kayfun lite for three weeks. After filling, regardless of top or bottom fill, I'll get the juice to escape until the pressure "gets right". After a few minutes the leak stops. Through the forum I've tried all suggestions. Watched youtube videos regarding top till...
I use kanthal 32 ga. 3mm wick. 4-40 screw to wrap the coil. I'm a recovering Kanger T-3 user; those items worked great for rebuilding the T-3's. I said "no leak" yesterday, in fact do leak. I am cutting the wick pretty long, it may be the problem. I noticed that when I filled, it would...
I'll try that. I did do something different, based on this pic. I wrapped 10X coils, whereas I used to do 6. It came out to 5 ohms, I'm normally around 3. Worked good.
I'm one week into the Fasttech kayfun lites: they've quit leaking. The two thing I did differently from the first fill was raise the coil WAY above the airhole and only fill to the top of the glass. Goodbye Kanger T-3'S............
Alright, I'll do that. Maybe I'm packing too much wick? I think I may have filled too much, now I'm filling until it reaches the top of the window.

My latest rebuild seems o.k. I wrap the wire w/ a 4-40 screw, 3mm silica wick. This time I left the winding WAY above the airhole, about 1/8". I've stood it up for 5 minutes, it's holding. I've seen some rebuild with the winding perpendicular to the posts. This latest one is in-line with...
I cut the wick 3/8" long and pushed the wick just below the threads on the chimney tube; I'm confident the channels aren't blocked. The top o-ring (black in color) has a groove cut in the tube, and that groove is cut up into the tube (≈.1"). The groove is wider than the o-ring, its not a snug...
I bought two kayfun lites from fasttech. I threw away the wick assembly that came with the unit and made my own. I stood it up and left for 20 minutes, every drop ran out. I read about the issue and did everything suggested. My second rebuilt was well above the airhole, still leaked a...
I've bought both the Vamo v3 and v5 from fast tech. Perfect! My first vamo was bought from vaporbeast.com last fall, still working. I tried the V3 from fasttech, bought 4 months ago. Just as good ($32.00) as the stateside unit ($80.00). The U.S. unit did have some cheap batteries and puny...
Happy new year! We are loving your newer flavors: ns dark, smoked latakia, flue cured Virginia. I recently ordered the burley, turkish and big spirit. Man, your juice is good!
Tried the sweet leaf liquid. Carmel. Sweet. I'm steeping now, we'll see what happens. Sweet leaf got it to me in 4 days. After a facebook post, Chris did a speedy reply.
I bought their sweet leaf liquid. Haven't received it yet, sorry. Posted on their facebook, they seem like a good group. I'll let you know as soon as I try it.
What was it you were waiting on from fastech? Hardware, liquid?
Fastech V3: $32.00 (body only). 16 days from clicking "order" to delivery. Works as good as the $85.00 kit I bought from a U.S. business. Three weeks into it..........
