The set wattage is there to ramp the coil up to the desired temperature All I can suggest is find what's right have a play around with your settings Make sure you remember to lock the resistance Good luck -

It's not normal You will soon get dry hits and ruin your coil, leave it open (max vg) you can close it a little if your using lesser vg based juice But again you will burn your coils if it's closed- Paul lamb
