I'm not sure which version of Escribe you are running so I'll post the one you need. This is the latest one - it works on all the Evolv DNA chips. They also have a SP4 service pack available (it's an add on) for the 250. No worries though because my Triade 250 already came with 1.2 SP4 so I...
Here's a couple of more pictures I took of the Triade DNA250 today
@AtmizrOpin The last picture is for you. It just finished charging and every time I looked at it, it was charging between 1.94-2.0 amps. It worked just fine. I'm using V1.2 SP4, the charging source is an Anker Power Port10...
Since it's my at home mod I haven't had to charge it yet. I will when I get home from work today and keep an eye on it to see whether it charges at a steady 1.9x amps. I'll post my results, hopefully later tonight.
Cheers,
Steve
Just a heads up, I've seen the Therion 167 (DNA250 chip) listed a couple places as coming soon. Might as well muddy up the waters a little bit more.
PS Thanks for the compliment on the Triade. It's my first Triade and first DNA250. I like it quite a bit. The Ostrich looks great (to me)...
Good advice on the SP4 update. I forgot to mention that. :toast:
While I'm at it I might as well mention that the Triade DNA250 doesn't have the mechanical reverse polarity protection rings. The DNA250 has on-board reverse polarity protection as well as built-in 2 amp charging . Both of those...
That Elephant really looks nice. I shouldn't have been so indecisive yesterday and grabbed a few more covers while they were in stock (get while the getting is good ). :toast:
Cheers,
Steve
Thank you my friend, I think it looks nice as well. The Ostrich doesn't feel like it needs conditioning. I'm hoping it's more durable than a soft leather (time will tell).
I bought the extra back from Ebay yesterday, The seller had 8 different choices going for the very reasonable (imo) price...
I just received my first DNA250 today. It's the Lost Vape Triade 250. I just walked in a few minutes ago and haven't even had a chance to put batteries in yet (they are still charging).
My first impression was this is really nice. For a triple 18650 mod it's pretty light and feel really good in...
The one difference (other than cosmetic) is I know for a fact the VT133 uses the reverse polarity daughter board. I've never known LV to use the daughter board.
On the Triade they use the Rings (mechanical protection). On the Duo, I don't think they are using the board or rings (you can either...
I've always got better results in TC using spaced coils. I have some NiFe70 from Crazy Wire and I'm using their recommended TCR of .005 and it's working fine. I'd give spaced coils a go if it was me.
I usually run it while I'm awake. I don't stare at it while it's running but I check on it from time to time.
If you run it overnight make sure your PC doesn't automatically shut down when it's complete. I'm just mentioning that because I hate to see you lose your data. I've never tried it, so...
I've run it both ways and it didn't seem to make a difference. The things you need are:
1. The battery charge to be between 1/4-1/2 charged.
2. Around 3 hours or so because that's about how long the test takes to complete.
It's best to have the mod at room temperature when you start the test...
I was trying to write that in a way where I didn't come across as a troll. I wasn't saying either one are bad mods or that people shouldn't get them (I really do like Hcigar DNA mods). I was just trying to point out there are other options. :toast:
Cheers,
Steve
I despise screw on battery caps, especially ones with fine threads. That's why I skipped both models. I instead went with a Blood Red Lavabox DNA75 with a battery door held on with Rare Earth Magnets (strong). It's a little more expensive but if you look for a sale it can be had for ~$75-$80...
It's really quite nice, I like it a lot so far. Still haven't put the Lipo in yet. I used it over the weekend almost exclusively and it works great. It's definitely not going to be my take out to work mod, looks too nice for that! :toast:
Cheers,
Steve
Two things:
1. If it started happening after only 1 week, did you contact Vape Royalty and ask for a refund or exchange?
2. No matter where you bought it from, Evolv will warranty the chip for 1 year.
Cheers,
Steve
