    OP here, I did a 7/8 wrap with 26guage on 3/32 drill bit... dual micro coils... 0.19ohms.. "Grade 1 pure 100% Titanium wire" from Unkamen TXBiker, do you own an iStick 40? I will try to build another one in a bit....maybe my unit is defective.

    I dont believe that even though the wire is touching the wick at all times you wont inhale the fumes from an un-dry-fired coil.... Its gonna burn no matter what...even if its slowly burning off, youre still inhaling it all... If titanium is toxic when inhaled, I want to stray far from it....

    I was told you aren't supposed to dry-fire Titanium wire because it causes it to oxidize, and when its oxidized, the Ti becomes toxic and harmful to the lungs....     Ti coils have much lower resistance than kanthal coils... Its 0.19ohms which, again, is really strange considering the limit is 0.3ohms. And yeah it kicked me into VW mode automatically..

    I totally agree.. The thing with this mod is that you cant lay it down in a way where the cord isnt sticking out in a vulnerable position... The iStick 20 and 30 didnt have this problem because the port was on the side... But yeah I agree, its all about handling with care...

    quick question about new BVC heads..

    Steved, I think Kanger does have BDC coils now...I believe they came in the PT Mini-2. I cant imagine BDC or BVC coils being easy to rebuild... Kanger or Aspire.. Rebuilding those Kanger single-coil heads is too easy and inexpensive. Though if I had some money, Ide definitely go for the BVC...
