I am telling this to a "new member" and trying to steer them in the best direction for a good experience. I wouldnt recommend a mech for any new person. I also prefer dripping and i drip on my mech. I also build RDAs that will peform very well on my MVP or any other regulated mod. Go look...
lots of first posts in the forum so read around a bit. My standard answer is check out the MVP 2. It is a great device for the money and it lasts days on the charge. I wish i had started with it. Match it up with some EVODs or Mini-protank 2's and you will have a really good system that...
with cotton - less is more.. you need space/fluff/loft for the juice to be able to travel to the head. too many people cram the coil too full of cotton and it wont wick as fast. cotton should last a while in a tank system. they work great in RBAs like the genesis.
i was the same way...it wasnt until i got a good mod and decent tank that i got the satisfied feeling from vaping. I had a breakthrough yesterday when i walked by someone smoking and it really smelled bad. you tastes/smell will change if you keep on the vape path. There are some good juices...
i would agree with the B&M advice...however i would say stay away from the generic eGo starters. Get a VV spinner at the minimum. I would say if your seriously considering doing it then get a device like the MVP2. It is easy to use, battery lasts forever, and it will provide a great user...
i have GAS - gear acquisition syndrome. The big lie is that you will save money in vaping. :) Even with the DIY you end up buying more stuff - better pippettes, more flavorings, bottles, etc. Just enjoy the ride and live within your means.
Jesswee check out youtube videos... i recommend rip trippers or pbusardo as they do a really good job of showing things and they offer consistent good advice on builds. Basically you dont want too much cotton or it wont wick good. you need the to have some fluff or loft in the cotton to carry...
rebuilding is not scary...i am not a mechanic or an electrician and i have no problems if you can twist a coil and roll cotton you are pretty much done. I love the big hits off a dripper... puffing on a clearo is okay when i am driving or sneaking a toke here or there. But when i really want...
cotton is king. Yes it will burn but you keep your wick wet. You can dry burn on silica and it will generally quit smoking when juice is gone ...it is hard but you can burn a silica wick. Nice thing about cotton is that it takes seconds to rewick the same coil. you dont have to rebuild...
the higher amp battery is safer if you are drawing too many amps. Get the Ohm's law calculator app - enter in 4.2 volts since that is the maximum that your battery will ever have (typically they average 3.7). Enter in the resistance of your built coils. It will tell you how many amps you...
not an expert by any means and am commenting to see others reply. I have noticed that the microcoils and cotton do not tend to burn juice like it does on a standard coil with silica. I think it is a function of the increased wicking ability of the cotton to keep up with the coils.
I can...
My first home computer was a Sinclair ZX80 - blazing fast 3.25mhz processor and whopping 4k ROM. I also remember my first laptop pre-windows 3.1 days it had 2MB ram and a 20MB HD... i told my wife i would never fill a 20MB hard drive. I bought a 4mb RAM upgrade for my laptop and it cost me...
