    oh! i didn't even think of copper. good idea. i heard ball bearings work very well for spacers too in the pila. isn't that great that batteries came with them? cuz i didn't have any of the recommended size. MidnighToker and lrd3 have just been so generous. it is humbling.

    yeh, i'm with ya on the glass ones. i am just too clutzy. but the mings are a win for me. the top curve is nice and thin and it has a wide hole and yes, i am one of the lazy ones, as i don't remove the drip tip to drip.

    it's heeeeeeeeeeeeeere! check out the silver bullet-like button! and MT sent it WITH batteries! how suweeeeeet is that? AND there are magnets on both the front and back that make contact to the batteries so the cover won't ever accidentally come off. so clever. and the grooves for the cover...

    it looks like it is in KC. we have had mega problems in the past when anything (inbound and outbound) hits KC - but it seems to have straightened out the past 3-4 months. sooooooooooooooo, maybe today :-)

    i have one of those gold mr. coffee filter baskets that i never use that i think i may cut up and try to make bonuts out of - any thoughts? it appears it is made of stainless steel - but i don't know what the 'gold' coating is. ah what the heck - it's worth a shot :-)
