    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

Thanks Bloke, after reading yours and @awsum140 posts and thinking about it, it finally makes sense: my final interpretation is they suggest you'd better have either A) something in the path that can "absorb" and compensate for weakening of connection between the mod and the atty (i.e. spring...

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

Hi guys, this is not strictly Ti related, but since I think most of the knowledgeable people in ECF hover around here, I thought it would be a good spot to discuss this. I stumbled upon an interesting application note about temperature control on the dicodes site (Application Note for...

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

I have unfortunately to confirm this. Just got an SX-mini-M this week and I'm really loving it, coming from DNA40 I can probably say it's quite more stable and regulates a bit better, but there's definitively something that prevents safe (in the sense of not burning dry cotton sense) use with...

Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!

Here I am reporting back about my experience with the tidi balls I just got a couple of days ago (10-balls bags from atmistique.gr, see a few posts back): I've already been using rayon in the past, and it should have been of the "big sally box" breed (at least that's what the vendor said) and I...

Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!

For the sake of keeping everyone who's on the other side of the pond informed, I found what seem to be the same tidi balls here (https://www.atmistique.gr/tidi-usa-rayon-cotton.html). Service is fantastic, ordered yesterday morning, shipped after a few minutes and just received (DHL express...

Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!

Tnx Tony, heading to pink-mule right now to have a look. Thanks Jeremy, I've been lurking around this thread since the beginning, so I didn't realize I've just chimed in out of the blue without saying at least hello to everyboy... ;-) Sorry, Andrea.

Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!

Hey Toni, where did you get those tidi balls? I'm in Europe as well and would be curious to try them.

    DNA 40, NR, Nickel Builds

Just found this video https://youtu.be/NUEjyY55I3s and I must admit the idea seems interesting. Anybody did try this technique? Apart from the guy probably staying too high on his temps (IMO), I must admit I'm intrigued by the potentiality of this method in making the build really easy and...

Vaporshark releases the DNA 40 (DNA not rDNA)

Yeah, I didn't mean SS threading to be involved in my resistance inconsistencies, just enforcing that the 510 connectors are quite different on the two devices (at least that's my experience). I reckon that cleaning the center pin can play a role, but believe me I almost removed the gold...

Vaporshark releases the DNA 40 (DNA not rDNA)

Well, I might be wrong (or VS changed it on latest rdnas) but I don't think my rdna's 510 is SS. It more realistically looks like chrome plated brass. Also (not that product descriptions have to be taken too seriously) but product description on VS page for rdna does't seem to explictly say "SS...

Vaporshark releases the DNA 40 (DNA not rDNA)

Well, if someone's still on the fence for this VS dna40.... I got one since the beginning of this week, and I'm absolutely in love. I own a VS Rdna40 as well (large screen, end of 2014 batch, no dna40 issues at all, lucky me), and I've lately come to realize the 510 connector is the weak...

    Official DNA 40 introduction

Sorry for chiming in like this, but I have exactly the same problem with my squape R on a VS rdna40 (see my post here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rta/621945-official-squape-r-eloaded-thread-38.html#post15265986). I came to the conclusion that the center pin on the VS 510 might either...

    SvoёMesto KAYFUN 4

Yeah, that's my impression too.. After a spin on a dna40, I'd say steamtuner's sleeve is still the way to go for nickel builds, I'd just have liked the possibility to use the sleeve _AND_ the newer spring though

    SvoёMesto KAYFUN 4

Mtek, I'd say JC is indeed slightly stiffer to spin, but not sure it's enough to allow a reliable use of JC as a real "modulator" instead of a binary on/off kind of thing, if that's what you have in mind :)

    SvoёMesto KAYFUN 4

It _is_ bigger. Got mine from SM yesterday and it slightly greater diameter, both the wire and the spring itself. So much that it doesn't fit in the sleeve I bought from steamtuners, so to use the new spring I have to remove the sleeve

    Official Squape R[eloaded] thread!

Hi squapers, I have an original R and I've come to the impression the 510 connection is a bit "too short". In a nutshell, I have a VaporShark rdna40 that, despite the spring loaded center pin, doesn't seem to be able to report a solid and consistent resistance from my squape R, while I have no...

    Official DNA 40 introduction

Thanks BlueridgeDog for your trust in my building skills :), but my original post might have been somewhat confusing and actually one of the puzzling-me factors is that the seemingly too high readings of the vaporshark are the ones that are mostly in line with both steam-engine and the other ohm...

    Official DNA 40 introduction

Hello fellow DNA40 owners, I'm a new member and since I had this compelling question while I couldn't still post here, I posted in the new member forum. So sorry for this kind of X-post, but I think this might be useful to someone here and also I hope to get some insightful feedback. Here's my...

Hello everyone and curiosity about latest dna40 (C/F + bigger display)

Hi cores, when using ni200 builds in TP mode, I currently wick with either ... cotton or rayon, and I don't get any particular taste from the wire itself in either case. I'd say it's completely neutral, but to be honest, I couldn't taste too much wire-specifics from kanthal either, so that might...
