SS oxidizes and its invisible to the naked eye. Threads and areas on the mod around the button are the main points where this oxidation has a noticeable effect on performance.
Your ELA v2 is also months and months old. That's a lot of time for oxidation to build up. Don't fall into the trap of comparing voltage drop on an out of the box mod with one that's seen use over almost a year. With that said, I'm sure the glas has better conductivity, if just for the fact...
Thanks! That's the standard super-t "satin" finish. But since I bought a lot of the oars separately, I may send it back at some point to have it all refinished with the same media. I do notice some small differences between some of the parts, under really bright lighting.
I love my stratas. I have one for the ELA and one for my Simplicity. It's a hate it or love it kinda thing, it seems. It got a lot of bad press right around the release, which I think turned a lot of people off to it. I think it's great, but I can see how it's not for everyone.
