Actually, I mix the juice and check it out every 3-5 days after the initial mix until I find a sweet spot or it remains rough for the first 4 or 5 weeks. If I find a sweet spot before a month goes by, well, it is good to go.
If it is rough after the first month, THEN the clock starts ticking...
I have some clunkers I aged about 10 to 12 months. What we said about steeping is "golden," as they turned 180 degrees and are real winners now. Don't ever give up the ship before a years time! :pervy:
I just came across this one. sounds like an interesting tobacco to extract:
McClelland Grand Orientals: Yenidje Highlander 50g | Buy McClelland Pipe Tobacco at Smokingpipes
OK, then a couple I extracted that, IMHO, where pretty darn good were:
Lane, Medal of Honor
Bjarne Viking, William The Conqueror
Daughters & Ryan, Picayune
Just been vaping a newer extraction I made that I thought had a slight chance of being a good "change of pace."
It is, and it is called Sutliff's Molto Dolce, if interested

Very few cigar extracts have worked for me. I'm glad your 1881 Perique finally worked for you!
