There was no nicotine from the tobacco leaves themselves that transferred to the extract you gave him? I was under the impression, right or wrong, there is always some nicotine available during the extraction process that is naturally passed on. -

I have a bad reaction to PG. that said, my extracts are alcohol and VG extracted, VG nic., and cut with VG. no problems on extracts over a year old. however, Perique has an underling sour to funky taste after a while. not as sweet as it is new. That is totally normal from what I have read.- checkum
