    Ask them to meet you in the middle and cut you a package deal. The markup on a charger and batts in store can't be much and in comparision to not making the sale at all....losing those couple bucks might be worth it to them.

    That's how most dealers that do preorders use them. You carry all the interest and opportunity cost, they make the profit and they don't have to put down much if any of their own money. Add into that any volume discounts and they are purchasing inventory to sell others with your moolah.

    My local shop can't even sell what they have in store with a hint of knowledge, I've also heard them say a few gems like "well when the owner invented these...." (talking about mininova's and protanks). They had a monopoly in the area until recently but the new shops look to be even more...
