If you do compute for initial costs, you will find that vaping costs a LOT more than cigarettes (whose costs are just a lighter, an ashtray and a pack of cancer sticks).
But in the long run, the cost difference will gradually become smaller, specially when (and if) you dabble into DIY e-juice...
give away my gear? nope!
but i do give some tools, supplies to a beginner vaper (wire, cotton, juice) and teach how to make coils, change coils, change wicks, etc.

firstly, you DO click 3x in fast succession right?
this problem usually comes when you have pressed the button a bit too hard many times.
if you know how to disassemble the mod or know someone who does, open it up, and clean out the pcb with some qtips and alcohol, specially where the fire...
oh, so basic vaping knowledge is now considered crap, and cigarettes are better in the long run? i think i missed a turn in the warpgate i passed several dtl drags ago.

if you diy, or know someone who does and can mix for you, you can google for a clone recipe or two.
the best thing about diy is that you could tweak the clone recipe to suit your personal preference (more vanilla, less sweetener, etc)

from a juice diy-er's point of view:
yes, making your own juice is a lot cheaper than buying commercial ones.
also, you claim you are too busy with work to make your own juice? funny you would say that because mixing your own e-juice would take just a few minutes, and if you make more than...

Considering the market prices of vape gear, I'm afraid kids will be going for the cheaper...
the main reason why many people are wary about buying batteries off ebay or amazon is the fact that some sellers try to pass off imitations.

lately, about 4 ml a day ...

i used to smoke marlboro reds (about 20 years), but when i switched to vape, I went for ry4, a caramelly sweet juice with a hint of tobacco in it, and that's when i started to quit smoking permanently

Last month, my officemate ordered a Pico from an online store, hasn't changed coils yet (using the built-in .3 ohm coil) and so far, it seems to be doing great (he isn't a chain vaper though, so not much "abuse").
