    Two cr123's (16340's) are slightly longer than an 18650. no adapter needed. Adapter is needed if you want to use two CR2's (15270's). Either of these 2 methods will only fit in the regular Chuck

    Really? I could not get a 14500 to fit... two 15270's would be around 54mm long, whereas the 14500 would only be about 50mm... how long are your 15270's end to end? DX shows 27.20mm each, so a total of 54.4mm: and the protected 14500's I tried, show as 51.47:

    That is really up to your price range/capacity need. As discussed before, the protected batteries are recommended, and the only other difference, is capacity(Mah). So if you want big capacity, get the 3000mah. It is the most expensive. If you want to save a little money, get the 2600mah ones...

    18650 is for the chuck, the 18350 is the new one Jeff just found to fit the little Chuck. The 18500 will not fit either.
