Which stereotypes fit you and which do not?

Wow. Other than buying a rebuild kit to rebuild your engine, I'm at a loss for what might cost $800 in parts. 'specially on a Buick. If you're ever in an adventurous mood, you can pick up a code scanner at just about any auto parts store for around $100. There's a plug down under the steering...

Which stereotypes fit you and which do not?

This made me laugh. I have a vacuum pump that I use to evacuate AC systems, so I can rebuild the compressor or replace a condenser or coil if I need to. I got the AC working on my old Mercedes, but I have to tear into the BMW one of these days. I think the seals on the compressor are shot. It's...

Which stereotypes fit you and which do not?

If your car was made after about 2000, tune ups are a breeze. At somewhere between 80 and 100 thousand miles you change the spark plugs, you change the distributor cap (if it has one) and check the spark plug cables and replace them if they need it. Everything else is handled by the computer...

Which stereotypes fit you and which do not?

The first number is the viscosity (how thick it is) at ambient temperature, and the second number is the thickness at engine operating temperature. A lower number is thinner. So 5w40 is thinner at cold temperatures than 10w40. Both of them are the same thickness at engine operating temperature...

Which stereotypes fit you and which do not?

I dated a construction worker once. For loose values of dating, I mean. It was more of a friends with benefits thing. Without the friendship. OK, we were .......buddies.

Anybody want to be a sounding board?

Thanks, but I think it's pretty clear what's going to happen. He's still in school, will be for another couple of years, and I committed to getting him through school. I'll do it. But we're legally separated and as soon as he's finished with school and can get a job, we're getting divorced. We...

Help me find something that works

Yes, the ProVari has been around longer, but the biggest difference is build quality. Not just the package, but the electronics. It holds the setting better as the battery power drops, and is more accurate overall. And I wouldn't dare drop a lavatube as many times as I've dropped my ProVari. The...

Help me find something that works

Yeah, with variable voltage you can make it as harsh or as smooth as you want it and you don't have to worry so much about what the resistance of the attie/carto is. In fact, you're actually better off going with a standard resistance one (about 3.0 to 3.2 ohm) because you get the most...

    Permission to come aboard

I tried everything to get off cigarettes, and nothing worked for me until I found this. It's been so much easier to quit, and I haven't smoked in months. Congratulations and good luck!

    Vaping while sick?

I've been vaping since December of 2010, and I've gotten sick a couple of times. I vaped right through it, no problems.

    Unbelievable Slippery Slope!!

I spent hundreds of dollars on cartos, different PVs, different juices, till I found the stuff that works for me. I wish I'd started out with it, but it took experience and time to find the right combination. Oh, and money. Lots of money.

No flavor from SR Boge Cartos

Yeah, like the others said, that won't be your best combination. I run anywhere from 4.5 to 4.9 volts with that exact cartomizer, and I'm on the wimpy side of the street. I know people who crank it all the way up to 6.0 volts with those. Vapor and flavor is about power. More power=more...

    "T's Family Chatter"

I finally broke into my last order, which is my cue to place my next order. I threw in some for sister, who is running short on the only flavor she likes.

    Blinking LED?

If you're using a weaker battery, it may not be able to keep up with the power draw you're trying to use. That can trigger the low battery warning prematurely. I've only ever used the AW IMR batteries that ProVape sells, but others have reported problems with different batteries.

    Metal Smell.....

The regular satin finish is just bead blasted stainless steel, so there might be a light coating of machining oil on it. To coat it, they'd have to do a precision clean first, to remove any contaminates and let the finish stick properly. Makes sense that a coated version wouldn't have the same...

    ok - i'm close...

Battery life is going to depend a lot on your cart/atty resistance, the power setting you use, and how often you vape. I've been using SR Boge cartos (~3.2 ohm) at 4.7 volts, and I go through about 7ml per day. I get just under a full day. IOW, if I change the battery first thing in the...

Life expectancy on IMR 18650 3.7v 2000mAh battery?

I got six of them to keep in rotation. I'm getting just under 24 hours on one charge, so I've got a while before I hit 500 charges on a single battery. Good.

Anyone else have only ONE flavor they like?

My sister has found several flavors that she likes in the past, but for the last several weeks the only thing she can vape is New Watermelon. She just says that's the only flavor that tastes good to her.

    My Zombie kids.

Maybe they aren't giving you the silent treatment, maybe they just weren't quick enough to avoid the kids when they got home. Zombies are kind of quiet and introspective. They don't talk much.

    Do you have a kindle?

If you do, I can recommend three books. Well, more like two and a half books. LZR-1143: Infection LZR-1143: Evolution LZR-1143: Perspectives I read the last one first, because it was free, and it was just some short stories. Based on that, I pried loose the $10 for the other two books...
