    Watkins Root Beer Extract Questions

If you look at the ingredient list, it states: Propylene glycol, water, natural and artificial flavor, caramel color. Pretty much the same as a lot of flavorings we already use. I don't really like the idea of added coloring (though, a while back, I spoke with someone at Watkins, and I think...

    Speed steeping with time stamps.

Link works fine. I remember that thread. I didn't read through it again this time around. Did someone in the thread basically do the same thing I mentioned? Plus, it's really of little consequence to me whether or not it is successful. I was, as previously mentioned, just adding to the...

I guess I did always add 10% TFA French Vanilla to my mixes. This could have contributed additional smoothness to it that might have been otherwise missing with just the tobacco.

Actually, I was just speaking of taste differences with fresh vs. 'artificial steeping'. But, you raise a good point. Having a bottle naturally steep a few weeks would make an excellent, and valid addition to such a study.

    Speed steeping with time stamps.

I love that Black Honey fresh :D A good way to truly test this, would be to work with one, maybe two flavors at a time. Mix a bottle of Test A, the bottle that will go in the cleaner for 'x' amount of time. After said time has passed, mix another bottle of Test B. This bottle will either...

On that, I guess it goes without saying that taste is purely subjective. In light of this, I enjoy some alcohol based flavorings, very much so, fresh. I guess it all depends on the flavoring, and where it derived from as well.

The coloration differences, though can be also attributed to the flavoring itself, will also derive from the nicotine, and the oxidation there of. On that note, coloration isn't, in my opinion, the best indicator of beneficial steeping. Undoubtedly, taste is ;)

I think in the cases of these accelerated steeping ideas, the point is to help 'mix' the flavorings quicker, in that, the blend will come together faster with consistent vibrations, (and possibly heat?) Will it substitute naturally allowing the flavors to meld with one another over time? I...

The "Let's give Levitas a helping hand" Thread

Okay, so, it's been nearly a week. Let's try it again. This... is actually pretty good. It has a very minor spice, although hidden within a sweet creamy foreground of flavor. I want to attribute this to the graham cracker, but cannot say for sure. You know, I really just love the way coconut...

The "Let's give Levitas a helping hand" Thread

Ya know, I haven't really tried it in lower than 10%, other than when trying to mix it with other flavors. One thing I've noticed is, that Blueberry likes to hide when mixed with certain flavors. On its own, however, 10% is just swell. Nice and sweet, and to me, requires no additional sweetener...

    % help on RY4

Perhaps unnecessary to mention, but, it might prove wise to try a smaller bottle of said recipe before making a larger quantity of it? That being said, I've never had those flavorings mentioned, but what I like to enjoy, aside of straight Double Ry4, is D.Ry4 with Capella's Caramel and Vanilla...

TFA Apple Pie Is Yummy - TFA Cheesecake Not So Much

TFA Apple pie is awesome! I love it, honestly. I haven't had it in a week, or so. Thanks for reminding me that it exists :D

    Cassablanca like recipe?

That stuff smells so strong, I could smell only that when I opened my package from Wizard Labs. And those who get packages from WL know how well John wraps the stuff. If I were to experiment with it, I'd first dilute 1ml of flavoring with 4, or 9mls of straight PG. It would make it easier to...

    Cassablanca like recipe?

I don't know of the tobacco base, but, Acetyl pyrazine smells very much like Casablanca, at least to me. I haven't tried it in a mix yet because of this. While Casa is alright, I wasn't much in the mood for it.

How long will Nicotine base last?

Not exactly sure, based off of experience. However, I have read that nic-base will generally be good for up to one year, and perhaps longer if you store it in the freezer. 6 months shouldn't be a problem.

Went a little crazy on this one: 3 drops (TFA) Blueberry extra 2 drops (CAP) Graham cracker 1 drop (TFA) Dragon fruit 1 drop (CAP) Vanilla Custard 1 drop (CAP) Strawberries and cream 1 drop (VZ) Coconut (Additional info: 5mls, 80vg, 10mg) :D Let's see how it vapes... well, interesting I...

    Steeping ideas

Heh, I'm glad you took the humor as it was meant :) I suppose given your original post, I was under the impression that you feared to try out a freshly made bottle without steeping, without ever trying it fresh before.

The "Let's give Levitas a helping hand" Thread

I feel that I should come and report some additional findings to my last flavoring impression. I have come to the final conclusion that the FW Double Dutch chocolate isn't quite as I had expected. At 3 drops per 5mls, it wasn't that bad, so I had thought. I added another 3 drops to that...

We've something in common. I too cannot stand steeping my juice as a requirement to enjoy it. I've a much simpler solution to your steeping problem, don't. :)

    DIY Basic Flavor starter list.

I agree whole heartily with Purely, here. I haven't personally tried the pineapple, but I've heard nothing but good from many people on it. The rest he listed I have tried, and agree completely. I would also add: Double Ry4 (must try!) Black Honey Tobacco And if you're looking onto other...
