    yep will works, but only if you use switch.For touch need 1M to 10M ohm. Edit: @slimest was faster then me :D.Try to use mosfet`s with lower RDS-ON and Vgs threshold 0.x - 1V

    That lm2577 it`s a booster, lm2596/76 it`s a step down regulator,totally different and lm2577 it`s no good for a mod.Don`t waste your money on a crap :D And lm2596 it`s good for stacked cell, grandpa of regulators :D

    If something it`s wrong, can explode a tube with one batt`s. Like i said before I`ve seen on TV a men with exploded ego batt. For stucked batt`s probably to make short circuit with wall of tube it`s higher in point when + from bottom batt, contact - from top batt, without proper isolation...

    I don`t thing if i want to find somebody in states to sell because I can`t make at largest scale. I know everybody want, but it`s not so easy to build this one, it takes time to build something good :).This product comes after more than half a year of testing and building.

    I use staked cell from 8 mounth, without problem, but only protected batt`s.It`s good to be warning but you do not overdo it. Anyway where it`s the pictures with exploded tubes ? With 3xAA box i have seen pictures in the past. I have seen on TV a men from US with exploding Ego batt from China...

    510 connector it`s not a good connector, tends to crack easy.Personal I make something like @breaktru, all you need it`s to isolate middle from body of atty and it`s different ways for this.

    tps54427 from Texas Instrument or MP2307 from Monolithic Power and others. mp2307 find on kis33 module from ebay :D

    yep it is supplier responsibility to ensure by construction with every protection presented before.Only one safety measure need to be made by buyer, use only protected batt`s.

    you want something good? Look for synchronous step down IC..the best ever regulator.Use it with 2xbatt stacked.
