I arrived at the dose by effectively doubling the average daily intake of inositol. I will increase gradually.
I have gastrointestinal issues, so I don't want to overdo it.
I also plan on reading medical journals to see if any suggested prophylactic doses can be found.

Have you heard of "miraclulin". It's a plant theat makes whatever you eat taste sweet for 30 min or so after you eat it. Similarly interesting, although they aren't sneaking it into food. That's creepy.
That would be 16x500 mg capsules.
That's for treatment of active OCD and depression.
AFAIK there's no recommended prophylactic dose.
Have not finished all of the research I plan on doing.
However, if the research said to take 16 caps a day, I'd probably do it.
I, too, went to the health food store today. Got one bottle of inositol and one bottle of inositol/choline.
I checked for interactions with my prescription and OTC meds. I'm going to start with 1 cap inositol/choline and 2 more of the inositol-only, per diem.

I know you have French toast, and another supplier is famous for waffle, but I don't like cinnamon, and it's not like they INVENTED waffles or something.
