    Did you try lifting the center post up on the battery (gently)? And/or pulling the center pin down on the tank (gently)?

    Iclear 30 hard to pull

    On dry burn, pulse the coil until there is no more smoke and it burns bright red. Dont hold the power to it too long though. Rinse it well again in hot water to removed the ash. Dry burn again. Just under a month is good time for these coils/wicks. It may just be time to change it out...
