Pushing batts past their limit is a big one, this can lead to thermal runaway, of course mechanical mod folks should be using a 1cent fuse. I don't want to make it sound like brain surgery, but some common knowledge of electronics is helpful. I'm far from an expert but I did/do my research...
Better is subjective, but what's nice about RBA's is the user has the ability/control over the setup. With that in mind, I'm not suggesting you rush out and try to build one now, but to learn/research in the meantime. It's probably best to continue using the stock gear for now.
As for...
To the OP; I see you're in California. There are tons of people/vape shops that deal w/ RBA's in your area I'd bet. Why not meet up w/ one and learn the craft firsthand? Also; reading up on the RBA section here and watching Youtube are good ways to educate yourself.
Yeah, the tight space/lip will be trickiest w/ the neg. connection. Making a loop before screwing it down should make it easier. Your way sounds just as viable too.
Very nice, you'll get yours first so report back here! Someone posted a pic on another forum w/ the Arrow/Nemesis. They had the 17mm ring and it looked sharp.
I'm surprised there's not a thread on this unique atty. 'TheHill Giant' did a review on it which sparked my interest, even though I prefer Hybrids. It's made by Korean mod maker 'Yellow kiss' who also makes the 'Ba Gua'. In fact they are mated for each other being 17mm diameter. It's touted...
On another topic, I'm pretty deep into the batch of Indian tobacco I made. I liked it better on a clearo vs my Genny. It's not bad, just a little sweeter then I prefer; not sickly sweet by any means and more than vape-able. It's probably a good candidate for ACV. I still need to mix a small...
I read where RTS does put their flavors in glass, but without knowing your dropper size it'd be hard to say if your % is too high. The OP mentioned he almost threw these away at first when doing higher percentages. It wasn't until 'jimi' mentioned one drop per/ml that they shined. That drop...
Spit can smell doesn't sound too kosher...lol.. You're the first to chime in here that got Hangsen from RTS that I'm aware of. It may not be them, but as 'jimi' asked, what % and also, what 'extra ingredients' did you add to the two?
.. I watched your video again and answered my questions above. Have some more:
- Is it leak proof w/ a single wick as well? I'm guessing so and that the juice may return even quicker w/ the extra hole open.
- Since I'm a Hybrid guy and not up on atty-less mods, what are some other 17mm mods...
Almost four years ago I started vaping 16mg. That didn't quite cut it and two days later I went to 18mg. Been there ever since with atties, cartos and Gen's too.
You must have missed my earlier comment about RTS getting it from a middleman supplier since they had trouble getting from Hangsen direct. Hangsen's website only has one USA Co. listed in it's global partner's section; which is Caterpillar Vapes. Problem is they don't sell DIY flavors, just...
Nice, this ticks a lot of boxes for me. Very innovative in the sea of clones. Even though I'm a Hybrid kinda guy, I'll have to look into this more. What was the name of the mod it goes w/? Batt size(s)?
If you're a tobacco fan you'll love these! I think 'jimi's stated the magic mix is really lucky strikes, even though they have one named that in addition to. He'll correct me if need be, but it's the same as another one they have named.
Most def, yeah, SC flavors were sickly sweet/nasty to me. I only gave 'em one whirl and mixed @ 2.5%. These Hangsen's are so easy and clean, still amazed at how clean they are. No Genny darkening, or very little.
Good point, never thought of that. Also, places like VZ who are rebottling them, allow for more O2 to reach the flavors. May add to the darkening effect.
Got my ECX order in yesterday, man that was fast! It came just as/quicker as an order I place in state. I'll mix the new samples when I have time but for now I'm about to dig into that batch of Indian I've had steeping until the end of May.
@ 'td': Yeah, I'd like to know as well. Chances...
Good for you not wanting to do a sub-ohm coil. I think people are literally playing w/ fire using them, but that's another topic ;)
As for an RBA; first ask yourself if you want a silica based wick or stainless steel (ss). Some can use either but most are geared toward one or the other...
You can always try more later. I just added a couple new ones to try myself. Indian is a full/robust tobacco flavor. I never had much luck w/ FA tobacco's but some people do... Hangsen couldn't be more simple, one drop per/ml!
