    Juice and Oxidizing

I've also been using a Genisis for a long time and sure, quenching is not needed, but it does add some firmness to the wick that I like. I've also done the 'jack frost' method and yes, that works too. I did the quench 3x, burn 3x being a creature of habit ever since 'raidy' put it forth...

    Orion V2 roll call

One can also use a 10ml bottle, but yeah, extra volume would effect vapor coolness, flavor, etc.

The Vivi Nova has the same threads as the Orion's top cap. It's great to test air hole sizes and placements. The picture was one 'brian' posted a while back.

    Hungarian NGP Genesis PV

Well I just unrolled my original NGP wick as it was acting up and made a new one. The dimensions of it are 35mmx40mm (length/width) for what it's worth.

Nice, that should give 'cerver' some ideas for his vapor woes.

    #500 SS Mesh

I have to admit 'b', before your findings here, I was under the same misconceptions as you pointed out. Since I don't use any VG in my juice, I always just assumed it was right. Thanks for taking the time to do these experiments.

To me your vapor production doesn't look bad, but I understand you're comparing it to your other system/same juice. As 'emonty' pointed out, a thick wick can help. Also; building the negative connection up w/ 2mm washers/nuts raises the coil closer to air hole will help vapor production...

    Ac9

Not a fan of a large air hole. I hope he does make one smaller (like 1mm), so that way those who want a larger one can drill out one. I find flavor is best w/ a small chamber and small air hole. Vapor does increase w/ a larger one, but I'd rather have the former.

    Hungarian NGP Genesis PV

I was referring to the starting dimensions of the mesh before rolling; 40x30mm, 50x40, etc. The original had space around the wick. I was thinking they did it that way to avoid the wick touching the sides in case it were to get hot and melt the plastic around it. I guess I can just measure...

    Hungarian NGP Genesis PV

What wick sizes are you all using w/ your NGP's? I would imagine, even though the wick hole is large, you wouldn't want to fill it as the top cap is plastic and could melt? The original had some play. I even suspect they used the drill bit method. Just curious as to what everyone is using.

Yeah, I know it's usually ODxIDxwall, but these should be the correct ones w/ a 1.5mm cross section..

    Umm... what have I done?

Nothing new, but as someone mentioned, you cut your resistance in half, so if using a thicker gauge like 28/30, you'll need more wraps.

    Orion V2 roll call

@ 'emonty', thanks, I'll try 400 wet next time for the glass. Not sure what number my emery paper is; have fine and medium. @ 'doc', I wouldn't go above 1.2mm, but I'd try it on a 10ml bottle or a Vivi tank first (has same threads) @ 'crypto', the size Les uses is 12mmx1.5mm. He said you...

    Orion V2 roll call

Strange... nothing looks different on the 'deck' does it? My button doesn't line up; it's at 90 degrees but I can hit it fine w/ the buttom on the bottom (puts the wick on the side). Yes, the glass does take a while. I gave up and just sanded my plexi tank. Wonder what grit is best for...

AC9 Genesis atomizer available to the public!!

You had a short, and still may. It's harder to spot shorts w/ juice in the tank. I check mine when dry w/ quick pushes of the button and nudging the coils if need be. The coils should evenly glow when dry. What's the taste like? Metallic, burns throat?

Neat trick for a super wick on a ZAP or Zenesis

There's a big thread in the modder's forum discussing thick wicks and 500 mesh; they wick better, even VG. His experiments defied the popular belief that 300 and lower mesh wicks VG better. He didn't do the experiment for flavor, but others have commented on that. As someone mentioned, you...

I had almost given up on Genesis tanks until I tried this...

Yeah, many don't quench and the guy who came up w/ this method doesn't oxidize; only burns wick w/ lighter (of course his Vaper has a ceramic insulator). Since I'm a creature of habit, I quench 3x and burn 3x, although I'm aware this is not necessary, it works for me.

    NGP help pls

I'll also add, w/ resistance and wraps it comes down to length, not as much wraps, although by adding more wraps you add length. It pays to know the ohms/inch w/ the different gauges. Here's a chart: Resistance Wire (ohms/in)
