    Well, with the atty removed if the button gets pushed there is still voltage going to the connector but with no atty on it nothing gets hot and since the batteries arn't powering anything they can't drain. Just loosening the atty to break contact with the center post will give the same results.

    I've been vaping in the house for a year and 3 months all day every day. I would think that's plenty of time for a smell to build up if it could. My wife can't smell anything and neither can anyone who visits.
