So here's a little update. The battery indicator did finally drop to empty but it did so only just before the battery reached 3.2 volts. From a post on Reddit I've learned the DNA 40 isn't reporting the voltage but it's guestimating how many puffs the user has left before the battery reaches 3.2... -

After the first full day of use at work the Macro has already become my new favourite mod. The size and weight is just perfect for carrying it around in my pocket. I was worried the battery door would easily come off but that's not the case at all. -

I'm kinda perplexed how tiny and light the Macro is compared to the rDNA. The feel of the anodised aluminium is very nice and the buttons have a very nice tactile feedback and a satisfying audible click. All in all, it's a very nice mod. -
