Well, yeah, of course. I will never pay for a firmware update, even if it's just the cost of shipping it to a dealer. So if I ever buy another Provape tube mod it has to be user update-able, otherwise it's a no go for me.
Suppose they make a cable with a USB connection on one end and a connector with a pin on the other end to make contact with the board, is a different connection protocol enough to make it user update-able?
I got the joke and it's not in poor taste. Don't worry about it.
We're not cousins. She's the daughter of my late brother and sister in law. I'm not only her uncle but also her legal guardian and she's like a daughter to me and I'm her father figure. So yeah, her being my GF would be extremely...
My niece is extremely beautiful (not trying to be a creep here). She has a very symmetrical face, long pitch black hair and striking blue eyes. She the kind of girl who makes heads turn around and all the boys want to be with. And the funny thing is they don't stand a chance because she's a lesbian.
You are correct. One of my girlfriends bought the Radius but after using it for a while she sold it because it wasn't to her liking. This one is for my niece. My niece is a completely different person ;)
Already ordered the Cabernet red with the translucent sleeve and a Kabuki from a shop in Germany. That should be enough to skip buying her a present for the next couple of years :D
I got an answer from the vendor and this one has a completely black button. I asked my niece what she wants and she really doesn't want a completely black button which I can understand. I wouldn't want it either. The only other Radius they have in stock is the ghost white and I don't even have...
Here's a picture of the model they have. It looks like a translucent black but I could be mistaken. I just thought I'd ask here because they usually take their time to answer.
Sop my nieces birthday is coming up and she really wants another ProVari because the TPD will be hitting us in May so we decided to buy one for her. A Dutch web shop has the Radius Graphite Stealth edition and she likes how it looks but she wants to be able to see the LED for when it's done...
We already have 6 cats ;)
All they have to do is make a connector with a long enough pin so it can make contact with the battery contact on the board that screws in the bottom. Basically the same connection you find on the serial cable to comes with the updater box. Fit a USB connector on the...
If she's a Provi woman then why did she sell her Radius? She skipped the P3 and she's also skipping the Procyon for exactly the same reason as me. In fact, the only thing Provape she owns are two 2.5's from back in the day when we switched to vaping. She hasn't used those for at least two years.
Greed, vendor lock in, the nanny TomTom syndrome. I think those are in play as well to some degree.
Why shouldn't they? Why do it for one device (Radius) but not the other? Why make people pay for an update while the Radius gets it for free. Where's the logic in that?
And pay another $200 just to update the mod myself? No way I'm ever doing that. I'm not going to pay for Provape's lack of knowledge how to make a tube mod user update-able.
Not an option. Provape said on their Facebook page the possibility exists to add TC to the firmware. And suppose I buy the thing and after using it for 2 days I found out there's a serious battery drainage bug, what then? Send it to Germany or the US? No, I will only buy a new Provape tube mod...
